“Fear” and “worry” are the last 2 emotions that this game and opponent should evoke. It’s a good team in the biggest spotlight they’ve had in what, the last decade? ND has played in 5 games like this already this year. If the guys prepare like they can (and should) this can be a route.

Typical upper mid tier opponents Super Bowl so we need to be on point.

As long as we don’t turn the ball over we should handle them by at least two scores.

They sell out on the run as a scheme & therefore avg 80 yds a game against them, one of the lowest in the country, so it will be another game where Carr will need to punish them through the air.

I still yearn for Love in the slot, Price in the backfield with Fields boundary, Faison field & Raridon tight.

The RPOs could be a nightmare for defenses..

I think if you’re ND you welcome the circus Pitt is going through. Lot of media hits, Aaron Donald celebration, GameDay. All foreign for them. Pretty normal for us.

Do we get a Minchey package late in garbage time?

An interesting factor depending on game state, Pitt still has everything in front of them for the ACC and a tough stretch left. Like Navy basically. Nardog is not the type, but forward thinking decisions could have to be made.

They have a very good kicker.

#0, their MIKE LB, is a good player. They have a very good run defense.

Not the time to fuck around and find out. If they're off it, they'll lose. If they play like they have been playing defensively and take care of the ball, they'll get it done.

How is their secondary?

He's not analytical enough to think big picture. He's a meathead and is going to want to win this game like it's the Super Bowl.

That's just my hunch and I could be very wrong, but he's another one of these guys that has a hardon for ND.

Gray is not on the injury report

Flanagan is questionable. Would think he plays given he can redshirt and finish the season at this stage

Hinish is questionable

Pitt has a very strong run D. we need Carr to stretch them early. haven't seen any this year, but might be a good game to throw in a few RB draws if the pass game is clicking.

I live 3 and a half hours from Pitt. Had been planning on going to this game for 2/3 years. Of course they schedule it on my wife’s birthday and she nixed it. Need a win otherwise it’s going to be one awkward birthday dinner
Koon would've have gone to the game....You're definitely NotKoon

Sorry, I couldn't help myself.

I think Gameday being there is a good thing; more of a spectacle this is, the better for ND to avoid a sleepy noon start. Give me all of the spotlights.

I'm not too worried about how good Pitt's run D is, our run O is pretty good too. It just takes one little crease for Love or Price to make a house call. Stack the box all you want, Carr already had his down game against BC and still made some plays. Malachi and Faison are ready to feast.

Doesn't have to be close. Go Irish.
