It’s quite clear BCs defense has nothing for this offense. Just need a couple stops in the 3rd and this should get pretty comfortable

fvck yes... Skow is beastin' out today.

Book 77%, 200+, 8.4 AVG, and 3 TDs in the 1st half.

Also leading rusher with 67 yards...

It is kinda fitting that BC won in ‘93 with 31 points and we end the half with that #.
We need to double it and then take a needed week off....

Sloppyness on both sides. We’re winning the yardage battle 327-160. If you told me we’d have a 15 point lead at half, I’d be happy. Jurkovec is a quiet 8-20, feels like he’s doing better— maybe he’s just in our head.

Either way, go Irish. (Ps: Skowronek, your probably not going to play on sundays.... please come back).

We know now without a doubt how personal PJ has made things..

Anyone think Book took that personally?

The offense has really found itself. Book is doing such a significantly better job surveying the field and finding open receivers/TE’s/RB’s. And I think the offensive staff has got really comfortable with this group of skill players.

Can the board settle down a little bit now? We’re just better than them.

BC came out hot and aggressive, milking every bit of inspiration they could from the '93 game, the red bandana shit, and 5* Philure feeling disrespected. They've lost some of that fire now though as we've cleaned up our mistakes and pulled away.

At this rate Phil could of got some playing time in this game if he was still at ND

Does anybody else feel like maybe Ben and Javon read IE? Any lack of athleticism that those guys have is made up for with effort and heart. I was just telling my buddy that Javon is becoming one of my favorite players and Ben goes off. Love it

It was never Book, it was always the lack of WR experience to start the season. They've come on late between Ben, Davis, and McKinley stepping up. They don't have quite the same skill that Clemson's receivers have, but as a group they're a far cry from where they were week 1 and they have heart.

Do think it's that, or just that it took some time for Book and those guys to develop chemistry. I can understand the slow progress with AD due to all the position changes. I can also understand the challenges with bringing Skow in, and then his injury. Javon has really been the only steady WR since day one.

I'm just super happy it's all coming together. I'm pleasantly surprised. I totally underestimated Skow. And I didn't think AD would find his groove. Glad I was wrong.

Phil is doing as I expected. He's gonna take shots and he's gonna hit a few of them.

Key word is "FEW". He has 131 yards and has some chunk plays, but he's also 8/20.

He's boom or bust, and to start, he was booming, but he's doing more of the latter lately.

Book and ND meanwhile, are just chugging along with efficient drives. Sloppy with the turnovers, but clean that up and ND is dominating.

Given how well Book is playing, that was probably the worst possible half ND could have had. I expect a blowout by the mid-4th quarter.

Also, despite the fact that the announcers want to suck Phil off, I think it's pretty clear who the better QB is.

I agree. It took AD a while to find his groove in a new position. Took Skow a while to adjust to a new O, and then come back from injury. It's all coming together now. We still lack the ceiling a lot of the big teams have, but these guys are playing with great chemistry in the hear and now.
