By the way: someone said that the OLine didn't block for Pyne in the second half --- as usual, untrue.
Rees decided to call personnel alignments having only the line plus a back. Navy consistently rushed
SEVEN against that, and the outside guy(s) was always getting through. Sometimes that was mere air
that he was getting through, but sometimes it was atrocious RB (non) blocking. Navy used maniacal
blitzing against us, and the speed/slashing was not countered in the second half.

What we saw today was very tacky and demeaning, therefore it could be.

Well I couldn’t see the game this time but I caught the score and that alone was very disappointing especially after clawing back to some credibility. It’s back to ground zero for that again. Navy in the past could be tricky but that’s when they had a first string QB playing and a winning season. This is shot show Navy and despite playing what must have been an enjoyable to watch first half we come out and literally lay the biggest shit half of the season. Not just on offense which at this point should surprise no one but our decent defense decided to either coast or become a bunch of loser pussies and continued to allow themselves to be pushed around like Navy hasn’t pushed anyone around in one half of football. Freeman Tommy and sadly Golden all need to look on the mirror. A win is not a win when you’re trying to claw back from the worst losses in ND football the last half century. We have 3 games left. Thought we had a winning recipe for USC to give us some momentum going into next season. Phil will be coming for us and laughing at what he could do if he had stayed. He should flash the finger to Tommy if he can.
Would our offense be better or worse if we announced Tommy was fired on Monday. While Freeman has not impressed with in game adjustments I think he is justified in making Tommy (and Drew) the scapegoats for this. As the coach of ND it is imperative that you know how to motivate 18-22 year old young men EVERY WEEK! Marcus has failed miserably at this so far this year week to week. We only get up when we are the underdogs etc. this does. It bode well for us. 3 losses like we have this year and wins like this will not get him a third year and they shouldn’t. I’m on vacation and thought this would be a happy game with Navy being down and trying to build off the Clemson win but Tommy et al have put my mood on the dump. Freeman needs to rip himself and his coaches (most of them) and at a minimum the leaders (if we have any) on this team. Stop being their buddy. The chest bumps are not for successful coaches.

I’m depressed now. If we lost I might be like the angry guy on here and need to get my ass kicked or kick some ass. Good thing we squeaked it out. I’m goin to Foster Freeze. F it!!!

Don't ell me they "blitzed more" they basically blitzed on every play in each half.
Only thing I noticed was sometimes they blitzed both LBs and DBs on the same play.

Big lead. Long halftime plus a Navy 10 minute drive to start the second half. Plus no proactive adjustments to what a desperate team needed to do to get back into the cane. Basically a shitshow that we survived thankfully. Just infuriating to watch.

So I watched the highlights (that would be the first half for ND only). On the positive side Pyne really spread the ball around. Lenzy with a spectacular catch. Eating running still looked good and not enough Carries for Audric. Typical Freeman & Tommy second half. Other team makes great adjustments and we just watch and think duh……

These two guys are like Dumb and Dumber. The middle of the ND D also looked soft and we miss JDB badly and Bauer too. Our corners sucked bad when they should have shit the so called non existent Navy pass game down. I would say Navy played and coached their asses off while we did for a half. Once again the Baby Drew tipped pass at the LOS bites us. Dude needs to use his wheels more often. He has some and he has at most 3 games left to show out as regardless of what he does in those games he will not see the field in an ND game again after this season. Dude should enter the portal where he will not get picked up except by a D3 team.
