Tony Jones laid a lickin' into that safety on that last play. Get that boy the ball. As for the game. Yikes. See ya next year ND.

Why did we think a short passing game that keeps their front 7 in the play and a perimeter running game were the routes to go today?

No idea...Wimbush throws a pretty okay deep ball.... I'd have thought the best idea would have been to take some shots downfield and run downhill.

Lol we changed nothing at halftime after what we just watched in the 1st half?

Let's keep running east/west bullshit against a super fast defense.

Herbie has been all over it all night.

East/west running game, east/west screen passes..... Just terrible.

MIA's left DE was completely untouched by an ND OL. He was in the backfield as Adams was getting the handoff. Neither the RT nor the pulling G touched the DE. The pulling G didn't touch the 2nd defender coming into the backfield either.

Plays work when PLAYERS EXECUTE.

The worst thing is the start to the season has given Kelly at least two more years to "only think about championships at Notre Dame."

Their defense is too fast for our offensive scheme. When our weakside linemen pull, their guys on that side are just running in behind the play. Adams is too patient for his own good against this type of D.
It's the Georgia game all over again, except we're turning the ball over more and Miami's offense is capitalizing.

Miami ran a game plan that accounted for our aggressive defensive line getting penetration by running the wildcat, QB draws and screen. What do we do to account for their defensive line speed and movement? Fvcking jack shlt. We never made them pay for their aggressive defense. We made Manny Diaz look like Nick Savanna tonight.

Gentleman, as much as tonight pains me, I still think ND has an incredibly bright future. Top 10 recruiting class, sold out stadiums, and an amazing education. I think what gets lost here is the fact that we had one of the biggest turnarounds in college football this season. We were 4-8 last season! Go Irish!!
