Play calling and execution is all intertwined dude. Every inch of it. You cannot say oh good play call but poor execution so it's ok. Marcus will take the blame too cuz that's what coaches do. Lack of execution is a result of coaching. Not to mention the goal line offense has been bad literally every game except Arkansas
I would respect you if you didn’t. I don’t get on there but I also don’t take too seriously what a bunch of rabid fans say in the heat of the moment. It’s just a way to vent IMO. Anyone who takes game time threads seriously are sad individuals.
We are generally good against the run but horrible when it comes to short yardage. Haven’t seen us stop a third or fourth and one ALL season!
True. Wish there was a way to lock the board for an hour or so after the game. I wouldn’t take too seriously what a lot of folks post directly after the game. They’ll cool off and come back around. I get the frustration on both sides. And you’re spot on…if it makes someone that miserable or “ruins their day” if the Irish play bad, it’s time to find a more healthy hobby. I should now…I used to be that guy…and have to constantly remind myself it’s just a game that means nothing in the big picture of life.

100% agree. You want to see guys play to a level they are clearly capable of. When Carr misses a wide open receiver for a TD and had plenty of time you want to bitch about it. When Price has had issues with redIne fumbles and then proceeds to fumble again we get rightfully pissed! When guys like Sneed or KVA make stupid AF avoidable penalties you want to vent. Extra points are converted by 100’s of college kickers every week. We cannot have any more special team boners.
We also don't really know what this game "does" to us (if anything) until the rankings come out. If we come out ranked like 18 or something, then maybe the committee just never liked us and this game just fueled their dislike. But we don't know that until Tuesday.
The nuance is, that we already have two losses, so we have to sort of play the game in terms of winning with style—especially with one of our quality losses losing some quality.
If we'd covered (spread was 30.5 IIRC) we wouldn't be complaining. This was a close game entering the fourth quarter.
