I loved when Jack gave scUM the series release - served in hand - just before kickoff of the game. That was some pimpy daddy move. Loved it.If Jack gets that deal how big are his balls on his statue? lol
20-23 million. What are they getting now? $35MM a year? Or less?
I like playing teams in Florida, Texas and the South. That is where the recruits are.
That's a big abberation though. We historically do way better in Florida, Georgia, and North Carolina, since we play so many more games there. Definitely not saying we should join the Big 12, but sprinkling in a couple H+H's with TCU and Houston would not hurt one bit. We’ve landed Greathouse, James, Bell & Bowen in this cycle. We haven’t played in Texas in the regular season since 2016.

They wouldn’t want to join the Big 12. The Big 12 and ND would just sell their inventory together to get a better price than they would separately.SMH, I’d rather see them remain independent than join the Big 12. That’s a terrible option in my opinion.
I'm not really sure what the point is at this point. So they'll have to add 1-2 Big 12 games to make this work for NBC?
What is the point of being independent if you have to play 5 ACC games plus now 1-2 Big 12 games?

Right now the big 12‘s biggest problem is they’re losing their big name brands and Notre Dame‘s problem is they don’t have enough games to sell to justify a pay bump. So working jointly could make sense.
I feel like the Big 12 is a dying conference and any affiliation regardless of money is a bad idea. They wouldn’t want to join the Big 12. The Big 12 and ND would just sell their inventory together to get a better price than they would separately.

Maybe not at first but over time there'd be pressure for "synergies." i.e. adding K-State and the second-tier Texas schools to the annual rotation. That does nothing for us.It’d agree a schedule of guaranteed ACC (assuming they exist) + a handful of Big 12 would be ass. The article implies though NBC would want the Big 12 for their full programming schedule not necessarily to play ND.
“it is seeking "shoulder programming" (in this case, games played before and/or after Notre Dame's contests) from a Power Five conference to enhance its college football coverage.”
I think this means NBC doesn’t see benefit in paying ND $15 million dollars every other Saturday unless they can piggy back a game right before, pre game show, a whole day of programming not just 3 hours. Basically ND makes a Cincinnati - BYU game viable when you leave the channel on the bar.
ND is the B1G's focus right now per Dan Patrick's sources. If ND remains independent, then the B1G will go after UNC, Duke, NC St and Central Fl.Do not get involved with the Big 12. Just go B1G and get it over with.
That essentially means the BIG captures the largest market in the ACC and adds the largest uncaptured market in Fla (like I said a few weeks ago) if true so what does a ND (ACC) tv contract without North Carolina do?ND is the B1G's focus right now per Dan Patrick's sources. Have to take Dan Patrick’s sources with a grain of salt.ND is the B1G's focus right now per Dan Patrick's sources. If ND remains independent, then the B1G will go after UNC, Duke, NC St and Central Fl.
isnt this every tv/radio personalityHave to take Dan Patrick’s sources with a grain of salt.
I’ve listened to that show for a decade & his sources are below .500 with predictions.
But whenever they are right he will make sure to let you know about it.
Yeah, I seriously doubt any of those are on B1Gs radar. Maybe NC as a mop up…ND is the B1G's focus right now per Dan Patrick's sources. If ND remains independent, then the B1G will go after UNC, Duke, NC St and Central Fl.

It is relative to untapped tv markets and the BIG's ability to capture something they dont already have. CFU is also a pretty big research school IIRC. Second largest University in the nation w/ 63000 students. One of these is not like the other

Why would Duke be a mop up? They’d be getting the ND of college basketballYeah, I seriously doubt any of those are on B1Gs radar. Maybe NC as a mop up…
Clearly if the rumor is true they are looking at UCF lol.... so :0I wouldn’t think UCF really delivers the Florida market. If you’re already breaking up the ACC, to think they’d go after UCF instead of the better football school, better academic school in Miami seems unlikely, though neither are AAU institutions.
It kinda fits the Big Ten pattern though. The Big Ten didn't want Rutgers for their athletics, they wanted the NYC TV market and an academic school. UCF fits the same way.I wouldn’t think UCF really delivers the Florida market.
