And the ND admin still thinks the Macarena is hip with the youthWhen the music is playing you've gotta dance.
Maybe this was the riff between Burnt Ends and the admin. His idea of dancing was grinding and dry humping, while the administration wanted him to waltz, and if the mood really struck he and the recruit and they were feeling frisky, they could break into a foxtrot. And the ND admin still thinks the Macarena is hip with the youth
Watch the ND Endowment bid up these NFTs every year - they get an "investment" and players get paid. Badabing, badaboom baby!man these things are supposed to be for starving artists not hugely endowed colleges!
Nobody associated with the Endowment is giving Mick Asaf 25% of whatever he means by "profits", which could work out to a lot more than that, for a receipt to a token.Watch the ND Endowment bid up these NFTs every year - they get an "investment" and players get paid. Badabing, badaboom baby!
Isn't that pretty much exactly what these NFTs already are?Remember that high school that wasn’t a real high school that got on ESPN?? … I wonder how long it takes before someone tries something like that with all this NFT/NIL stuff.
Small price to pay for pseudo-plausible deniability. If we really want to win we set up the same structure but Marcus Freeman "runs" it for a 25% vig. Just pay Marty Byrde whatever he needs to get it done right.Nobody associated with the Endowment is giving Mick Asaf 25% of whatever he means by "profits", which could work out to a lot more than that, for a receipt to a token.
I think this kinda hits the nail on the head. Art has always been great for money laundering, and NFTs make that even easier. So if your goal is to facilitate payment to players without triggering any potential pitfalls, this is probably the easiest way.Small price to pay for pseudo-plausible deniability. Wouldn’t be the first time I misunderstood something but what I’m saying is some group makes some fake recruiting profile to fool some alumni group out of their money,…Isn't that pretty much exactly what these NFTs already are?
I think that's a small percentage. I think it's more of the 1% showing off their money and power, hardcore collectors and people who missed out on BTC and trying to makeup for it.This is the same as that “Cryptopunk” stuff that Darren Rovell will tweet about from time to time. Those NFTs go for six figures or more. Can’t tell me it’s not mostly folks cleaning their money…
I don't know much about NFT's. You may be right. But it seems like a lot of the NFT push comes from 3 camps:This is the same as that “Cryptopunk” stuff that Darren Rovell will tweet about from time to time. Those NFTs go for six figures or more. This too as a reason for it.I think that's a small percentage. I think it's more of the 1% showing off their money and power, hardcore collectors and people who missed out on BTC and trying to makeup for it.
That example only works for concert tickets. When you buy an NFT for "art' you're buying a link. You are not buying the art. The art/token stays on the server and you hope and pray the sever doesn't crash or that it stays at that address, otherwise you get a 404 File Not Found like lots of people have already or a picture of a rug (as in haha rug pulled out from underneath you).I was skeptical about NFTs until I did some research. The example that really rang true is issuing them for event tickets to prevent counterfeits. It’s history will be on the blockchain, verify the original issuer correct? You’re paying for a real ticket.

What's not true? Are you telling me that OpenSea stores the art on the blockchain? That would only cost about a trillion dollars - give or take a few bucksThat is not true at all. That’s true for places scamming people. But go to an NFT exchange like OpenSea or auction houses and what you wrote is not the case.

Nah I was a bit off on your point. I like your scenario though - fake recruit sells NFTs and promotes he will go to whoever collects the most NFTs in the set.Wouldn’t be the first time I misunderstood something but what I’m saying is some group makes some fake recruiting profile to fool some alumni group out of their money,…
