Enough that they aren't accepting donations on their site.I wonder how much FUND has left?
RL probably cost at least a Mil. 2 WR's at 500K each maybe??? Thats $2M already and still potentially 7 more transfer spots to fill. Plus, I would imagine around a Million each to entice Cross and Watts to come back.
Ryan Day threw out a number of around $13m per year I believe. I think its safe to say that ND is spending with the big boys now.
Remember 3 weeks ago when everyone wanted Freeman’s head cause “everyone” was transferring out? Good times.
He got four OL in the portal last week. This is also why Deion is going to have some difficulty fixing what actually needs to be fixed at CU.

and only one is worth a fuck.He got four OL in the portal last week.
FUND isnt fucking around folks. Freeman deserves an incredible amount of credit with getting the university comfortable with it.
Also curious of more details of why BQ walked away from it as he was originally the face of itWho is Fund? Corporate America/under armour types? Seems like they aren’t even taking personal donations anymore.
Has this been confirmed? Also curious of more details of why BQ walked away from it as he was originally the face of it
Apparently the IU guy is worse than any of this year's Colo OLM according to PFF.and only one is worth a fuck.
Only by some poster over on 247, I haven't seen anything concrete from one of the ND beat guys yetHas this been confirmed?
I don’t think it’s hyperbolic to say that even though we ended up 9-3, that getting Sam Hartman last offseason may have been the biggest recruiting win for us in the last decade. These dudes talk and Sam has and will be a fantastic ambassador for ND in this market. We’re really positioning ourselves—if we can continue to recruit and develop young talent—to fill gaps with high profile upperclassmen and keep things churning at a high level.
MF is going to have absolutely zero excuses to not have this program at an elite level in year 3.
Definitely—but I think if you look at guys like Leonard (OSU/Auburn), Oben (FSU), etc they’re also being sought after by football factories, so in that regard I think we’re shopping in the same aisle.I agree with everything here, but pillaging academic focused ACC schools for talent to bolster the roster still isn’t on par with other programs pillaging the entire country far and wide.
These gets make us good/great, but Im holding my breath on the elite part. It’s still a different aisle we are shopping in.
Regardless, this needs to be enjoyed, because it is already more than we could have hoped for.

I don't think this is the correct way to view it. We have a few guys in the top 250 we can't go after every year, mabye 10-15% at worst? We can still bring in the other 85% if Freeman & Co can sell ND well enough. That's more than enough talent in regular recruiting to be competitive for a title.I agree with everything here, but pillaging academic focused ACC schools for talent to bolster the roster still isn’t on par with other programs pillaging the entire country far and wide.

In the transfer portal, we can take freshman and grad transfers from other schools and potentially soph-juniors from high academic schools who have school work that maps well to ND. We are near the top when it comes to playing the NLI game to bolster the roster and add proven players. This is the next step to ND trying to compete with Bama, Georgia, etc. Seeing how well ND is pulling in players with FUND stabilized and operational, I believe this is just the beginning of a developing strategy to compete in the ever-changing arms race.
We are in the era where ND can absolutely win it all. Freeman needs to have a high success rate with his decisions moving forward: assistants, strength training, culture building and talent eval & development.
Not to mention high school kids are less predictable (especially when they play poor competition) the portal gives us proven and predictable options.Another thing I love about the portal: I'm less invested in the stupid world of HS recruiting. A QB commits and decommits and recommits and decommits in a month? Let's hit the portal. No use worrying about the girlfriends or uncles or whatever when we can recruit adults who are looking for NFL opportunities and a Masters.
Pretty much assuming the kicker from SCar. is all wrapped up.So safety and offensive tackle the last two positions of need?
