Urban Meyer was there last year.

He had a great time.

Hell, he even came out of it with 2 coaches and my favorite OL recruit.

I'm over it, though.

;)

Two years ago was fantastic! Urban Chip Kelly and Joe Philbin great stuff! This year I beleive it is in April. The coolest part is watching practice and really seeing the staff work their magic on the field!

Be sure that you manage your college classes so that you get your teachers certificate. This will allow you to coach at public schools.

Good ways to get involved in coaching at a collegiate level: Be a manager or somehow involved in the program, network with coaching staff. Then try to become a graduate assistant.

It cost some bucks I used to be involved high school before scheduling with job and education dictated that I had to scale down how much i coach which lead to me coaching jr high school.

Anyway I Iooked into the ND clinic and I remember not being able to afford it at the time. Then again I am still working through school so I am not a rich man right now.

i went last year and it was a blast. every coach has his own lecture, 3 best were diaco, kelly and martin, watching martins speech was like being at a stand up comedy show. dude is funny. Its like $80 bucks to register and you really get your money's worth. i'll be flying up again this april with my father who went with me last year. it'll probably be a yearly thing. I recommend it to anyone, not just those interested in coaching.

I have attended the past two. You guys have a good memory.

Good chance I attend again this year. I'm waiting to see who the guest coaches are though.

I was spoiled on my first ever coaching clinic, the ND coaching clinic two years ago. Urban, Chip, Philbin, and the ND staff. Amazing.

weren't they paired at that golf outing?

Yup.

It already has Marc Trestman, Chris Ault, Sam Wyche, Andy Heck, and Marvin Lewis as speakers. This is going to be quite a turnout.

Yup, they played together at Pebble Beach. Belichick is a longtime friend of Saban, has spent a good amount of time with Urban when he was at UF, and frequently had Chip Kelly up to Foxboro to share thoughts about offensive philosophy (that will obviously end now, I would assume). There aren't many bad coaches in Bill's circle. It's a great group for Coach Kelly to be a part of. And it bodes well for the players, because there are no shortage of Florida and Alabama players on the Patriots' roster.

This just sealed it for me. Signing up right now.

I don't like Belichick, but when one of the most successful NFL coaches ever talks, you want to listen.

Coaches Clinic

Going to be attending this year with a friend. Looking at the itinerary for Friday, what kind of breaks do you get during the day? I don't see any from like breakfast until dinner, unless my light speed skimming failed to turn up a solution.

What can I expect and how should I prepare for those days? Anything I should bring with me etc?

Moving your thread to the already made Coaches Clinic thread here in a second, but as far as eating is concerned, you kind of just find your time to do it. Then they have "dinner", but until the last day, it's always been all gone once I got there.

Imagine this. Several fat *** coaches, free beer, and free pizza. It's gone pretty fast. Like, 10 minutes fast.

The first one I went to, by the time I got up the stairs to the food and drinks, there was a table surrounded by 3 BIG guys, 2 empty pizza boxes and a MOUNTAIN of beer cans/bottles in the center of the table. It was incredible.

So I am not yet a coach(hopeful to be one soon), am I still able to attend this or are they pretty strict about it being current coaches only?

Any of you veterans give me a lay out of what exactly I can expect for the itinerary in regards to Thurs and Fri nights? Specifically dinner plans etc? Is there time to shoot other places or is the itinerary just jam packed.

I went to the Illinois coaching clinic last week and Chuck Martin was scheduled to speak, but for some reason was unable to be there. I was so looking forward to hearing him.

I have talked our staff into going to the ND coaching clinic next year instead of the Illinois clinic. ND has a lot more high profile speakers!

I watched Illinois practice and they will not be very good this year!
