Ok, back to regular programming. Hopefully Buffalo and my pens can keep it going though I’m worried the break might hurt both. I’ll be going back and forth between multiple games tonight for sure

Two good games yesterday, Sabres/Devils and Ducks Oilers back to back were both very entertianing game imo. Interested to see what the Pens do with Sid out,... do they ride it out, do they use some draft capital for someone like Pettersson,...??

I’m not sure they have to make an all in type move, but I think they have to do something to at least try and maintain their playoff spot.

I’m pretty sure they have more draft capital than any team over the next three years,… andcap space,… they can add now without really going all in I think. Dubas has been doing pretty well at adding now while still building for the future, at least in my opinion. Doing both at once ain’t easy. A year ago I thought a hard rebuild was the only way for my pens…

Love the Bills but there's something different about playoff hockey in Buffalo. This entire region is ELECTRIC. I think it's because you play multiple games but the entire week or so is just on a different level. I'm so excited for it, especially because it seems like we're not crawling in, well actually he a firm team. This city will go crazy for playoff hockey and my kids will finally get to experience it.

Edit did some math... Sabres are at 60 GP and 76 points. 94 points is 1 point past the projected need for 8th place to avoid multiple tie breakers. The sabres have to find 9 wins, 18 OTL, or a combo thereof lol. Essentially a 41% winning pct in their final 22 games.

Man this doesn't feel real. Keep stacking points boys!

The divisions are crazy this year,… you take Ottawa and the leafs from the Atlantic and trade them out for the knights and ducks who are atop the pacific, the Sens and Leafs are fighting for first in the pacific and the knights and ducks are swimming near the bottom of the Atlantic,…

Reinforcements should be on the way pretty soon. Anton Frondell and Roman Kantserov should be in the top 6 with him next year. Plus about a 20% chance of getting an instant impact guy in the draft.

They also have the most cap space so expect at least one or two improvements through FA… for now if you’re a hawks fan you’re not that far removed from multiple cups, enjoy the process.

Absolute nutty games in Pittsburgh and Buffalo today,… Pens overcame a 3 goal deficit to win, Buffalo blew a 3 goal lead, trailed by 2, scored 3 goals in the last ten minutes and took the game in regulation to take first place

We have not had an arena rocking like that since 2006 ish when I was in college. Elllllllleccccctricccc. Every year and every team is different, what happened last year, let alone 20 years ago, doesn't mean shit today, but this team is different. Just an absolute wave of confidence in that locker room. After the game, Lindy was asked if he ever thought about changing goalies. Before the question finished he replied emphatically with a NO. He wanted everyone to be in the battle. Just a testament to how this team is sitting on something special. It's not about just get in, it's let's go make a run

It’s still a ways off but RIGHT NOW the Sabres look like they’re the best team in the east,… how about a 99 rematch??

On the note of being a pens fan who doesn’t mind the Sabres two of my fav players ever who aren’t often known as being well liked, Hasek and Matthew Barnaby,… I just got Barnaby s book Unfiltered, I’ll get to it soon. A white Classic Sabres Hasek jersey is in my collection.

I still remember being so hyped when the pens got Barnaby. Domi is still my fav non-pen ever but always loved watching Hasek too

If you really wanna geek out check out the Minnesota State AA boys final. Moorhead was losing to Minnetonka 4-1 in the 3rd and won in double OT. Crazy that Minnesota fills up the Wild's arena for high school hockey. Must be quite the experience for a high school kid.
