With arguably 2 of the top 5 players in the world playing it would've been a major upset if they had lost. Rinne was standing on his head while I was watching but Finland just didn't have enough offense to hang with Ovie and Malkin.

What a fucking mess. Heading to bed early (still recovering from the 500), hopefully something miraculous happens in the meantime, because I'm certainly not doing any favors watching right now.

Next game the Kings will have three guys down low to screen Crawford.

This team has looked like they were out of gas since early in the Minnesota series.
Was hoping they'd be able to turn up the energy, but the Kings are too deep, talented, and hungry.

Maybe they can pull a Kings on the Kings and win three straight...

Yep, true. And the Kings have twice dropped three straight games in these playoffs, IIRC. It's not impossible.

But it doesn't look good. The Kings have simply been the better team.

But that's how I felt after Game 4 of the Minnesota series, and the Hawks came back to win the next 2. So we will just see.

The Hawks are a lot better at home ... I think Q really takes advantage of having the last change. But now they have to take one in L.A. to advance. Tall order, the way they've been playing.

Kings are in video game mode. They are playing out of their minds. So much for a more inspired performance by the D tonight. They still look like shit and are getting blown up.

So I love NHL OT but I don't think there should even be a clock. No OT intermissions keep going until someone scores. If someone passes out on the ice so be it.
