IMO it's going to take a lot for Denver to win. I think they have to go +2 in turnovers and control the clock. They also need Peyton to hit a 1-2 of those deep-ish sideline throws that he hasn't been able to hit at all this season. Should be (hopefully) a different outcome this time as opposed to when they met in Week 12 when New England was without Edelman, Amendola, Jamie Collins, and lost Gronk/Hightower during the game.

I'm thinking 27-10 Pats, but I'm biased and certainly over-confident. They just don't seem to lose with Gronk/Edelman/Amendola all in the lineup. 22-1 the last 23 games when Edelman is active.

My gut tells me that the Pats win. I just hope it is a good game.

Nailed that one. Almost happy the site was down all weekend.

Did this feel exactly like the Clemson game to anyone else? Feels like one team is dominating but they just can't pull away. Losing team mounts a frantic comeback, only to fall short on the two-point conversion.

Don't you ever compare our lads to the Pats ever again...

No - clearly the better team won yesterday. I can't say that about the ND-Clemson game...

Congrats to Denver, their fans, and Peyton. Their defense dominated and they earned that win. Manning played his best game of the year too. They are gonna have his hands full with Cam and Co. though, they are playing lights out.

Felt like Pats 2007-2013 and also the Weis years at ND. Play a legit defense and you can't run the ball and also can't protect the QB even when the D only rushes 3 or 4 guys. Doesn't matter how good the QB or skill guys are if your OL doesn't come to play.

Brady got hit 20 (!) times. Most in a game since 2006. Inexcusable.

The OL was disgraceful. Vonn Miller made our Tackles look like statues.

It was an extremely evenly matched game. Pats outgained Denver by 92 yards and had 8 more first downs. Denver controlled the line of scrimmage and went +1 on turnovers evening things out. Each team gifted the other a TD with a stupid turnover. Denver made the plays when they had to and deserved the win, but I wouldn't say they were "clearly" better by any means.

I think a lot of us went into the game assuming that the OL troubles were due to injuries all year, when it turns out they just might not be that good. Lou Merloni has been on a tirade on Twitter and WEEI yesterday and today. Makes you wonder whether Logan Mankins is Bill's first major mistake.

Indeed. Add Cannon to that list of mistakes too imo. Flemming has been a dissappointment as well.

The game was a draw except for a missed Extra Point, Gostkowski first miss in 9 years.

Stephen Gostkowski of New England Patriots misses extra point, ending nine-year streak

Ugh. It was an opportunity to promote the two teams that I root for while also being able to get a dig on the Pats fans. That is all.

Looks like a whopping 270 vbucks were won on this game. I'm glad the site wasn't working this weekend or I would have joined those who lost. Bring on the Super Bowl.

I was lucky enough to get through the blackout on with my iPad shortly before game time and place bets on Pats to cover, Pat to win, and over. System crashed right after my bet went through. Tried for 3 hours to log on again to double down on the Panthers but was denied.

Damn I'm lucky.

Peyton is done. He missed like 10 WR's that were wide open. Great career he had but it's time to hang it up.

He was also under a bit of pressure... At least his receivers caught the ball last night.

He should indeed hang it up. I just cherish that he went out with a win over NE..

Peyton might be going out with a Super Bowl title.

If that D can play one more game like they did last night, you might be right. PM doesn't have to win the game with that D. That Carolina O will be hard to keep down.

Carolina is absolutely an amazing team.

They are most certainly 10 point favorites AT LEAST in my mind.

It should be an incredible game. The two most exciting defenses in the game, imo.

So who do you like? Because you posted that PFM might win himself a ring, but then immediately called Carolina a 10+ point favorite in your mind. Lol
