I dont live in my parents basement...townhouse is up for sale with a nice basement for those of you in IL looking to move out of your parents basement into a bigger one: 1319 Orrington Ct Unit M, Wheeling, IL 60090 - 2 beds/2.5 baths
From a logic standpoint, Ludwig makes the most sense. Freeman is very inexperienced and I think having 2 experienced coodinators on Defense makes the most sense. Plus, Ludwig seems to be a religious guy so the culture may speak volumes to him.
His offensive philosophy, at least to me, is quite balanced, and would excel at ND.
Plus, he has beaten USC many times and that for me is a winner! LOL

That may be the hold up. Unless he’s not a QB guy? I’m not as concerned with the recruiting piece having MF, as I am QB development. I’m sure it’s been discussed in this thread. Does Ludwig have any track record with QB development?
It may all be a moot point really. If there’s mutual interest, its likely he’d already have the job.

Ludwig's listed as the OC/QB coach at Utah, and was at some of his previous stops (Wisconsin when he was OC there, for instance). Not sure he's developed any elite QBs, necessarily, but Cam Rising is a pretty good football player.
I'm not as worried about the recruiting part either, given the rest of the staff. He just needs to recruit a QB (ha, no biggie.)
Agree Ludwig seems like the best/most logical candidate we've heard, except maybe Yurcich. Which makes the lack of smoke around him a little worrisome. Yeah if he was coming you'd think he'd be here by now.

DJ U was definitely one i wasnt sure on but then i thought well when we found out we were looking in portal and Pyne was leaving his name came up then and while it wasnt near the top of my list i still would have welcomed him over Pyne - His potential was higher.
ol' boy at toledo also had 630 yards and 9 td rushing.

Don't be so quick to judge. He's not the only one who's said it. Driskell (I know, I know) brought it up on his podcast analyzing potential candidates, and ISD did as well today in their Intel article.
