Hypothetical, would you take Parker if they hire Brandon Streeter?

Slap Co-OC/Run Game Coordinator on DMC while you’re at it too.

Co-OC/Run Game Coordinator - DMC
Co-OC/Pass Game Coordinator (Play Caller) - Parker
QBs Coach - Streeter

Klein would be fine, but he's not an upgrade over Tommy, just different.
It’s too bad he declined because after having looked at the numbers I do actually think he would have been a big upgrade.

He produced more yards per game and more points per game than Tommy did last year. KSU faced a significantly tougher defensive schedule and had way worse talent to work with. Their 2nd and 3rd WRs were both PWOs, one of their starting lineman was a converted 2* DL walk on, and they also used a backup QB for most of the season.

I would be very disappointed if that's what we wind up with.

One of the reasons there are so few leaks is that:
1. Freeman has cracked down.
2. Rees was a large source of past leaks.

There are virtually no Kelly holdovers at this time, and those guys were very symbiotic with the media. Many of them used beat writers to plant stories that helped them.

Does Parker have enough experience calling plays to make Freeman confident in hiring him? If so it wouldn’t be a bad setup. Plus Freeman would likely be more comfortable with putting his own stamp on the offense given their relationship.

Yeah I was starting to get excited by the possibility of the Klein hire.

there are def still leaks because it didnt take long for the "we may not have offered him" posts and new names to come out.

Also, unlikely that he talks to media but Harry is a Kelly holdover.

No matter how anyone felt or didnt feel about Klein - Not great optics to supposedly had interest from 20+ people, only had two on campus interviews, and got turned down by your #1 choice.

I'm really curious if this was a money grab by Klein; either hoping to snatch a big payday at ND or at the very least leverage a raise at KState. If the reports are true he's making "only" $600K, could be some teeth to that.

I was coming around to the idea from those that shared the highlights of his offense, but we'll be fine. Trusting in Freeman and the process.

It's amazing that the OC position at ND is not a coveted one. Good O'line, RB's, QB's and a national brand. What more could you ask for? Something is fishy.
