WHOA that's shocking to me based on the reporting. But I would really prefer Lewis, here's to hoping he's the fall back.

Klein would be an excellent hire and the pearl clutchers here are pretty misinformed.

For all the "he's too green!" arguments - college football is riddled with young, non-playcallers having significant impacts on their teams' offenses. Joe Brady. Alex Golesh. Garrett Riley.

If you find your guy, you don't worry about youth. I'll take an OC who F+ had at the 21st best offense in the country last year at Kansas State every day of the week.

lol this thread is gold. Your standard nay sayers and their sky is falling BS they always spew, and many others believing every little thing that is written by the "insiders".

No one knows anything except the people in that office. And its becoming more and more clear that MF wants little to no information leaking out.

Got to respect Klein not spurning his alma mater. Sounds like he was “only” making 600k last year at KSU.

The OC in Washington turned down Bama. Coaches can turn down jobs for a number of reasons. Let's taker er down about 20%.
So did Moorhead and supposedly a few others depending on who you believe. Coaches have personal circumstances like everyone else.

Plus, what offensive coordinator that was a former starting QB at the school, would leave for the same position somewhere else? Unheard of!

All the same 4 or 5 posters who hated Klein as the hire now hate getting turned down (possibly) by Klein.

Like clockwork.
For sure,… however I’m not sure I believe we offered and he turned it down,…

Agreed. Can you imagine if we were in Bama's shoes and had to watch 4 OCs turn down the job? This board would be razed to the ground.

Honestly, if I was already getting paid $2m a year to live in Seattle vs Tuscaloosa? It's a no brainer to me, I'd have said no. (To be fair, I work remotely for UW and occasionally kind of wish I lived in Seattle instead where I do in the south sometimes, so maybe I'm a bit biased.)

I liked the idea of Klein, but had concerns of course. I was fully onboard and now just got kicked in the nads. So who is on deck?

You are silly if you get connected to any rumors from anything on message boards or supposed insiders. We won't know anything until ND announces or the new OC announces their decision. All the rest is pure speculation coming from guys who just want you to click. So far at least 90% of what has leaked is totally wrong. Weren't there like 5 guys already that we were told if they were offered would accept and yet none of those guys are even mentioned for interviews.
