In fairness I dared question all the Driskell hate around here and was accused of being too sensitive or some such by Mr Dale, so there’s history about this sort of thing. I’ve questioned Singer twice today alone. This board has had a Loy fit since the Carr commitment over Moore. NDMatt91 and another poster post Driskell info daily with next to zero hate or backlash. So yes you are being too sensitive to Driskell talk.

If I posted about similar things, I would've done it so much better. And Driskell has become less terrible in the past few months, I think it's because he really likes the coaching staff. I hope you'll post more and suffer some of us a little longer. Differing opinions keep it lively over here.

I have laid off my IB sarcasm a bit too. But I don't credit the new coaching staff. I think he actually has Shaun Davis doing good recruiting inside info, and then Ryan Roberts seems to be really sharp as well. I think he finally surrounded himself with real talent, which is what anyone who wants to be successful does. BD is still underwhelming by himself though imo.

A few can really ruin it. I just put them on ignore,… it really helps. So, click on the avatar of said offender and simply hit the ignore button. For added help the avatar right next to ‘acamp1900’ might work and add it to your list,… no more douchey superiority complexes. 😉

Think of it this way. You got your pee pee wacked. We all do, it goes in circles, we all get our time in the sin bin. We are all a bunch of babies who know more then the next poster. Don't take it personally. Unless its koon posting, then he is prob checking out your body.

Bump; I was basically going to reply to Irish#1's post with the same content as stlnd01.

I don't subscribe to any of the "recruiting" sites because IE does such a nice job of being "plugged in" with the various recruits' threads that you get the gist of it. It might be secondhand, not "breaking" coverage, of these recruits, but you get the info eventually.

As far as team-related content, opponent previews, game summaries, etc., it is really hard to compare anyone to Pete Sampson. I love his writing style, he is witty and fun to read. He's definitely worth the Athletic subscription alone, but I enjoy the content the Athletic puts out for all of my other teams across, college and professional.

I enjoy the ISD power hour podcast as well, particularly during the season when they recap the previous weeks' game and preview the upcoming opponent. They do some fun recruiting ones throughout the offseason as well.

Agree about The Athletic. I have subscriptions to it and 247, but The Athletics' writing is much better.

I have nothing against anyone on the board. I just saw a claim and wanted to see examples of it. Driskell can rub people the wrong way, but I think he has improved from his ISD days.

He attacked his own Twitter followers, and it wasn't warranted by any stretch. Maybe he was confused by who was a troll and who wasn't, but he used to really breathe fire on people who followed him and would ask what I thought were genuine honest questions. I just stopped paying attention to the guy because of the consistent hostility he showed on social media. Perhaps he's changed since then, but I've had him on the pay no mind list, so I don't know.

Jamie Uyeyama is more my cup of tea, which is not to say he likely isn't without flaws, but I enjoy the content more and he seems way more engaging in a positive way.

I have DM's from Driskell from when was going after another member of the ND beat on Twitter back in the day. I made the mistake of replying to them both and telling Driskell why he was wrong AND acting like a dick about it.

He DM'd me back what appeared to be an apology (that he didn't include the ND beat guy in!), but couldn't help himself from starting a debate with me in my DM's after I didn't immediately defer to his judgement on the matter.

He's just a guy who lets random Twitter users bother him too much. I was just some random guy trying to make peace, and he felt the need to come directly to me to justify his actions and then, eventually, further the debate.

What is your proof on IB doing this?

maybe a little but i don't believe that they are doing this very much it at all because recently Ryan has been doing a lot of interviews with players and parents on podcasts on you tube and so that would be where they are getting info were as i don't see other irish writers talking to players and coaches on youtube

I do like some of his analysis, just seems bitter about things. Produces lots of content.
