After a year of listening to the Always Irish guy on a podcast I just saw him on youtube and my brain went into a snapped because he looks nothing like his voice. I was certain from his voice that he was fat and maybe blonde abnormal looking guy but he is normal looking and thin.

I don’t mind Pete, and he’s the only ND media person I follow. That said, I’ve never seen a beat writer who is wrong nearly 100% of the time when predicting the team he follows. If Pete believes something will happen, always take the money on the opposite happening.

Currently watching the Cheez-It Bowl. Golic, Sr might be the worst color commentator I've ever heard. Talks too much, never funny, frequently incoherent. Not a good look for ND to have a prominent alum beclowning himself on ESPN like this. Would be nice if Swarbrick or Jenkins could get him pulled.

Watched a game he did earlier in the year. It was painful. Golic and the play by play guy never found a groove. Either constantly talking over each other or long periods of silence.

Golic's performance as a commentator is totally meaningless to ND. I seriously doubt that they care.

My understanding is that his contract is up at ESPN and these will be the last games he does.

It’s the Alamo Bowl. Hasselbeck was the color guy on the Cheezit he was pretty bad too. Thought the canes were just terrific blah blah.
In Golic’s defense he’s been a talk show host for for years and hasn’t done games for forever but shut up man.

He's been awful the whole season, just obvious he's pissed and has done zero research for every game. It's like having somebody's drunk uncle in the booth just spouting nonsense
