Now it's official:
<blockquote class="twitter-tweet"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">Personal update: Had to make another BIG move 👀 <a href="https://twitter.com/hashtag/GoBlue?src=hash&ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">#GoBlue</a> 〽️ <a href="https://t.co/AhSOA1MzKC">pic.twitter.com/AhSOA1MzKC</a></p>— "EJ Holland" (@EJHolland_TW) <a href="https://twitter.com/EJHolland_TW/status/1163474139774160897?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">August 19, 2019</a></blockquote> <script async src="https://platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>

Classy move to say something true for once on his way out the door... Michigan is definitely a "better fit" for his personality.

Yea, he's a super douche. Now they just need to kick Driskell to the curb and I can go back to having a Rivals sub, lol.

Lol, I don't understand anything he's intimating besides he disliked reporting for ND? Or disliked the rest of the reporters?

EJ Holland was universally disliked and disrespected by everyone on the beat. Many people considered him a clown of the highest order. I don't know him and I've never met or talked to him so I have no personal opinion to share. I'm just going to share what I've heard from other people.

From the moment he joined the ND beat he showed very little class or respect. And then came the issues with his conduct and reporting. It takes a lot to get publicly called out for inaccurate reporting, but its next level to gaslight people about it afterwards. And when you set out to antagonize professionals who have spent years building brands and connections, you're not going to be respected.

The saddest part to me is all of the subscribers he conned with transparent bullshit. The idea that someone with no connections to the school, staff, or players whatsoever was going to come in and have "scoops" because he was going to "out work" people made literally no sense. Do you know how you actually get inside info? Building relationships with coaches, administrators, players, and families.

Let me give you a great counter-example: Tom Loy. Not a Notre Dame fan, and wasn't connected to ND in any way prior to joining the ND beat. What did he do? He set out making those connections, and leveraged relationships that other people had that he was working with (e.g. Steve Wiltfong) in order to build his own. Contrast that to Signore Frappuccino... comes in and says "I'M GOING TO OUT WORK EVERYONE" and then does click bait advertising to drum up interest in what he knows. Classic "all hat, no cattle." We literally banned that kind of stuff on here because it was so juvenile... anyone can go "buzz buzz" without accountability.

By the way, the reason I knew about him leaving a week before he announced is because people were euphoric they didn't have to interact with him anymore and couldn't wait to share the news.

Is hacking another's account bannable on IE? Because if I didn't know better, I'd think you just complimented Loy's approach.

So this definitely isn't you. Mods!?

I can’t say I paid much attention to him aside from the Frappuccino tweets, but wow does that “Congrats to me” note read like it was written by a clown.

I'm sure Loy is jacked, I didn't mind EJ the way he posts and talks I see some of myself in. You either like it or you don't. Good luck to him over at Michigan. He's gonna need it dealing with those fucking physco's everyday.

Wish he would just quit all together.

It's time for him and Morello to put out another album. Been 20 years since Rage's last one.

That was a weird read. He's changing from one site on Rivals to another site on Rivals, but he's acting like a recruit who's changing teams? I can see developing an affinity for a team after covering them for awhile and getting to know the guys in it, but immediately acting like a "representative of the brand" for whatever team you get assigned to cover seems like... the opposite of what a reporter should do? Further evidence that I really don't understand how these recruiting site guys see themselves.

Like I said, universally disliked. I'm not here to shit on Rivals, but I truly don't know why anyone subs that site versus the alternatives given who they've hired recently. What are you getting out of it? Are there some big perks that 247 and ISD don't have?

Are they talking about that EJ Holland guy, or Driskell?

I want to give Prister 1000 likes and all my vbucks

Honestly, EJ and Tom Haverford seem like they'll get along.

Just wondered if anyone else has noticed the lack of respect cbs showed in there first essay on 150 yrs of college football-no mention of Notre Dame AT ALL. Hard to believe. Not much respect out there for the program-really disappointing they talked more about Huston Nutt than mentioning Notre Dame for player/team/landmark game etc. Hard to fathom.

I think they are doing an entire special on Notre Dame lol.

Or perhaps that's part of ESPN's celebration...

I just know that one of the major sports outlets (not NBC) is doing a '150 Years of Football' series, and they are all general categories, with the exception of Notre Dame.
