How would you rank, either top to bottom, or categorize in different tiers, the following Notre Dame football podcasts:

  • Locked on Irish Podcast
  • Irish Illustrated Insider
  • Blue & Gold Illustrated
  • Irish Breakdown
  • Inside ND Sports
  • Hit and Hustle
  • Onward to Victory
  • The Shamrock
  • Mike Frank's Irish Sports Daily
  • Always Irish
  • Fighting Irish Faithful
  • The Earned 5-Star
  • Pot of Gold
  • Under the Golden Dome
Any I must be listening to? Any I should absolutely skip or avoid?
Irish Illustrated Insider, Hit and Hustle, and the Shamrock are the best IMHO. Locked on Irish is also good.

IB with Driskell and Ryan and the Shamrock are my go-to Pods.

Hate on Driskell but the dude is passionate and isn't afraid to state an opinion. Although I don't always agree, I can appreciate.

I only listen to II and the Shamrock and I only listen to the Shamrock during the season, none of their infrequent off-season pods - there's only so much Fortuna I can take.

I sprinkle in Irish Breakdown with my daily dose of 104.5, but at times, Irish Breakdown can get too deep into the weeds. Honestly, we are so spoiled with our sports radio for a mid-major city. Hanagriff is as good as any in the business, Mascona is pompous, but brings quality substance, Ott is great if you're into gambling. We're truly lucky in that regard. One of the few positives we have!
Mascona is excellent.

Irish Illustrated and Hit and Hustle for me.

Irish Illustrated is the best for me on a year round basis. Tim, Tim, and Pete have a really great balance on their opinions and history of the program. They are good enough on the game breakdown, but their personalities and insights on the program are the top.

I do look forward to Hit and Hustle during the season. This will be the first year for Greg and Jamie doing the pod while games are being played. Greg’s breakdown of plays is pretty good and I think the pod will do a good job with that. Greg has gotten better as a host as he gains some experience as well.

I used to listen to The Shamrock but Fortuna makes me cringe.

He has degrees from SMU & Northwestern, & has interests away from sports, so I’m surprised he lasted as long as he did making $35K a year covering ND basketball (his main job).
Gonna guess his Northwestern degree is a masters in journalism from Medill? (one of the two or three best journalism schools in the country). Which is great but yeah $35K/year writing for On3 isn't going to pay off those student loans.

On Thursday, Ryan Roberts did a show talking about ND recruiting focusing more on certain states in the south, after writing an article about it earlier in the week.

Today, Mike Singer posts the same article.
Dude isn’t even trying to hide he rips everybody off.

It’s ridiculous.

As I continue to listen to IB, Driskell’s conspicuous hatred for both the state of Louisiana and LSU is just so humoring to me. I can’t quite figure out exact what it is, but it’s clearly more than just “BK” dropping Notre Dame for LSU.

He has hated BK since 2011 when BK pretty much called him out for being a D3 coach after he questioned BK’s offensive approach.
Been all downhill since then. It’s too bad, Driskell could have a lot more traction if he didn’t act butthurt all the time & think he’s always the smartest guy in every room.

Not that I know of.
Sampson has actually mentioned it this year again when discussing interactions with coaches.
Evidently Driskell was trying to be the big brain in the room & BK made a comment that it wasn’t the way it worked at the D1 level or something along those lines.
Driskell actually thinks he knows more about football than BK. Yet he was a failed position coach at D3.

IB is not my drug of choice but his bk hating schtick plays well to me and a solid majority of his potential audience. BK is an evil villain, he believes in nothing, he stands for nothing, he is your typical vacuous politician type clawing up an imaginary ladder to points unknown leaving a randomized trail of successes and failures along the way. It means he will have damn near equal parts sycophants who were bettered by his presence and detractors by those he burned :;;but in clear some total BK is a cock sucker and anytime he is literally or rhetorically (by the mountain dewed Jaba) smacked, I certainly raise a hearty cheer. As a Notre Dame for oh so many reasons BK can eat a dick.

But but but… he coached an All-American at Duquesne. He wears that like an Olympic Gold 🥇

Kahoun tweeted out his commitment at 7:19 this morning.
Rivals, 247 & IB all posted it with an article between 7:20 to 7:30.
People started talking about it on the ND On3 message board around then & the threads all got deleted. Then an hour later On3 posted he committed. They either had no idea or were not paying attention.
Bad look for them to delete posts & chastise subscribers because they can’t do their own job.

I don’t know.
It’s funny that he gets mad at subscribers for posting facts.
Kahoun committed.
Kahoun tweeted it out.
People weren’t linking other sites, they were linking Kahoun’s actual tweet.
And Singer is deleting the threads?
And then getting mad at them?
He is such a butthurt, lazy, little man.
