They have 3-pointer Tourette's yet they've all been bricks in the 2nd half. Louisville has all but abandoned the paint b/c they know ND is no threat to go down low in favor of throwing bombs.

Does Bonzie make the All-ACC Freshmen team or is this 16/16/17 too little too late?

Wow. Huge. Did it with Grant and Connaughton having off games. Bonzie is the man.

We need DJ to bring this every game going forward.

Vasturia was quietly very clutch tonight. 0 turnovers against that D when handling the ball often is big.

Colson is coming on so strong at the right time. Djax needs to play like this more. He looked absolutely beastly tonight. He wanted to win and you could see it.

Pretty strong finish tonight after a shaky stretch. Colson always seems to make something happen when he's in there.

Officially locked up the #3 seed in the ACC Tournament tonight as well. Pretty sweet. #6 seed will be either NC State, Pitt, or Miami depending on how they finish and tiebreakers. And they'll be playing against #11 Wake. I'd prefer to see Pitt or Miami over NC State in the Quarterfinals.

Either way, I am confident we can make the Semis and got another crack at Duke.

Absolutely gigantic win by the Irish tonight. Locked up a 3 seed in the ACC tourney, and if we take care of our next two games, I'd imagine a 3 seed in the tourney. More important than the logistics though, we're coming on strong at exactly the right time. Colson, Vasturia, and Jackson especially played out of their minds tonight. Even with Connaughton and Grant playing pretty average, we still beat a top team on the road by 12. Wow. Could be a special team.

Bonzie the last 3 games has played 14, 19, and 26 minutes respectively. 49 total minutes and 49 total points. We need Auguste to play well if we're going to make any noise in the Tourney, but it's crazy how much more efficient Colson has been the last 3 games.

Unless Miami loses to VTech and the other two win, we will probably get them it appears. Probably the second of the three in order I'd prefer to play (Pitt, Miami, NC State last-- may be the best and have tourney stakes on the line)

Hats of to Coach and Team. Colson has been huge lately, love his rebounding and fearlessness in the paint over a usually bigger opponent.
Hope Irish can get a run going in NCAA this year.

CBS has Notre Dame in the West region, playing North Carolina Central, and if they won they would play the winner of SMU and Illinois/Texas A&M

Good win for the computer numbers:

RPI jumped from 28 to 24.
SOS jumped from 129 to 117.
BPI jumped from 17 to 14.
KenPom jumped from 18 to 16.
Sagarin jumped from 16 to 12.

That'd be an excellent draw.

Ya getting into the west bracket would be a dream. If we got into the Midwest bracket then we most defiantly would not be able to beat Wisconsin assuming we would make it to the sweet sixteen

I agree. Lunardi has Notre Dame in the same region as Kentucky and Wisconsin, they'd also probably have to play Georgetown in the second round. I hate everything about that.

Jerry Palm has Notre Dame in the same region as Nova and Arizona; two teams that I think Notre Dame could beat

Went to the game last night and had a great time at the game. Irish, especially Pat, struggled shooting but got a HUGE win. My wife and I were also in for a HUGE adventure on the drive home, for those interested here is how that went...

This is how what should have been under a 2 hour drive from Louisville turned into an 18 hour drive. Got on I65 and proceeded to head home at about 30 mph, which is what I was expecting. Other than some semi drivers going way too fast and causing us a scare things were going alright. Got through Southern Jefferson County and Bullitt County which was the epicenter of the snow storm. They said it was coming down about an inch per hour. While in Bullitt we saw a Cadillac off the road in a ditch. Less than a mile up the road we saw a guy walking. There was no exit for miles, cars were speeding past, and he was facing a real threat of frostbite or much worse so we felt there was no option but to stop. So we did and picked up a nice guy named Mario who was on his way home to Elizabethtown. My wife, Mario, and I proceeded on and I told him we would just drop him off in Etown and continue on to BG. Well about 12 miles from Etown traffic came to a standstill. I did not want to go to sleep in case things started moving. I had a similar experience on the way to South Bend once and after about 3 or 4 hours got going so thats what I thought we were probably in for. No such luck. Eventually heard the cause of this was several semis had jackknifed (prob the ones speeding by me). So finally fell asleep and awoke to find things still at a standstill while about 2 feet of snow had fallen while we were sitting there sleeping. The worst thing they did was close everything instead of keeping a lane open and a crawl of traffic because much more snow fell and things got much worse after we stopped, but nothing I could do about that. Before my phone died I checked facebook only to find out a friend was also stuck in this mess. Called him and turned out he was in a semi about a mile or so behind us. Unlike us he had some food and water. So I spent about 90 mins trekking to his truck and back and he was kind enough to give us a bottle of water and some snacks. After getting back to the car word was spreading that the National Guard were on the way, we had not seen any emergency services at all. Never saw the Guard but finally, some Hardin County firefighters came and told us should be going in an hour or two. In about that time finally saw some plows arrived and everyone could be seen fist pumping and cheering in their cars. And finally after over 15 hours we were on the way again. Dropped Mario off at an exit in Etown and other than a kind of rough patch near Glendale made it home no problem. So that was our adventure. But hey at least the Irish won, we were able to help someone in need, have a story to tell, and most important got home safe.

Wife changed her schedule so I am free to head to Greensboro next Friday. We better win the first round game or I will be honked off!

Great win over Louisville. Ton of fun to watch, 10 minutes dry spell to open the half was frustrating but we bounced back nicely and kept TCB. Colson is playing better than Auguste right now, good problem to have two capable bigs pushing each other. Seems like the game needs to slow down for Auguste, not as confident and aggressive as first half of the conference slate.

I did see a ton of post ups by both BC and ZA that should have been fed but quickly abandoned but otherwise offense looking great with lots of drives to the hoop drawing fouls and setting up others.

Jesus, could have been much worse, but still...what a horror story! Thank god you got home safe, and thank god for your sake ND won! Question is, was the win "priceless!?"
