Thrown behind and the defender was right there. Would have been dropped 9 out of 10 times by ND WR group.

It was late but it was a nice throw over the first set of defenders. Great catch no doubt.

The catches Wisconsin has made whether by WR, TE, or RB have been amazing.

Wimbush would be a 65% passer if our receivers had those hands and body control.

His numbers would be better however i think you are being a little to nice.

I ran his numbers about two weeks ago but never posted it.

Wimbush was a 49.8% passer this season.

cfbstats.com - 2017 Notre Dame Fighting Irish Passing

With 33 more completions over the course of 12 games OR 3.33 completions per game Wimbush would have been a 65% passer.

Recalling the volume of rants on the board during GameDays, one would have thought the Mack (or ESB) dropped, muffed, missed that many by himself.

I fully recognize that Wimbush tended to keep his receivers "on their toes" trying to figure where the ball was going on each pass, long, short, into the turf, over the crossbar, off the lead shoulder, off the trailing shoulder, ...

Hornibrook is more consistent with his passes than Wimbush BUT his receiving crops regardless of position exhibits an amazing fluidity in adjusting to where the ball is thrown not where it was supposed to be thrown. I'm impressed with Wisconsin receivers adjustments. Similarly, I have not been impressed for most of the season with the ND receiving corps lack of helping out their QBs.

And Richt should absolutely be thrown out... but he’ll be back.

Personally, I’ve never liked the guy.

I agree 100% that better hands from the tight ends/wide receivers/running backs would have helped that Wimbush and the offense.

At the same time Wimbush missed more than his fair share of passes that should have been complete which would also have increased that percentage.

Wisconsin is very fundamental sound team.

Is Wisconsin’s OLine what we want and expect of our OLine?

They look really good tonight.

Fullback dives in a non-triple option offense make me aroused.

Watching Miami, I still can't believe they rolled Notre Dame like they did. Woof.

Hornibrook is a legit player. He really showed up. Very mature, especially for a sophmore. This guy has NFL potential.

Turnovers.

We had 3 in a row against Stanford to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory.
