Anyone interested in discussing? UConn repeat? Can Purdue undo what happened last year? Auburn playing as good as anyone right now. Who's the 12-5 upset?

Maybe the funniest tidbit about the tournament is Long Beach State. They let their coach know he was going to be fired after the season, only to see the team qualify for the tournament by winning their conference tournament! lol

That UConn is the most complete team. If Huston was completely healthy I think they can give them a run but not without Tugler, Walker, and Arceneaux.

I'll predict an all Big East Finals - UConn vs Creighton.

McNeese State is gonna beat Gonzaga as your 12-5 upset.

After watching them against the Sycamores, Drake may be a sleeper here. Coaches son is pretty good.

I always pick Purdue to fall short. It's a tale as old as time.

Somehow when picking my bracket this year, I've got them going the distance.

Last repeat champs were Donovan's Gators. 2006-07. I like UConn, but going back to back is hard. I'm inclined to pick someone else this year for that reason, but man they're good and tough to pick against.

The two teams going into the tournament I had as my potential higher 12+ seeds to make a Sweet 16 or better run were Samford and McNeese State, and if it plays out how I think it may in the first round, they'll play each other in the Round of 32.

I've got them in the final four, but getting beat by Marquette. Saw a Painter interview where he said the team didn't celebrate or get excited about getting a #1 seed. They may be dialed in.

UConn is going to be a tough out. I have them repeating.

Any thoughts on tonight's play in? Virginia looks like a Jeckel & Hyde team. 20+ wins but all defeats except their last were by double digits. Colo State started the season great but struggled throughout conference. CSU lacks size which shouldn't hurt them against Virginia. Could see CSU blowing them out, but if they fall in love with the three-ball they will lose since their shooting touch from beyond the arc left them during conference.

SDSU will not be making another run. I called theirs's last season, but this team lacks the depth of last years. LeDee is a stud and had a phenomenal season, but he was their sixth man last year. Mensah was also a force in the inside last season, especailly as a shot blocker at the rim, which they lacked this season. This is actually probably one of their worst teams in the last decade also evident by their 5th place finish in the Mtn West.

Committee gave them credit for last season's run as they seeded them the same as their Mtn West tourney seed.

Kolek's health is the big question mark for Marquette. If he's fully healthy they could go into the 3rd weekend, but all it's going to take is a good rebounding team to give them issues. Either way...

TBH, I don't pay much attention to the play in games. From what I heard on the radio, look for the NCAA to expand the field next year.

Big 10 refs aren’t calling the Purdue games, so Edey can’t get away with 100 fouls anymore.

0% chance Purdue wins it all.
I’m interested to see how the refs call fouls when Edey has the ball. He gets hacked across the arms almost every time he gets the ball down low. It’s not unlike the way Shaq used to get mugged when he had the ball down low.

I think UAB will beat them in the first round.

Not saying these two are the teams, but several play in teams have made runs from that spot including making it all the way to final four.

I like this method.

I let my 11 year old do my bracket and she picked nothing but chalk. So I had my 8 year old redo it and it was the chaos I absolutely wanted.

Impressive opening game for Colorado St. A thorough rout of UVA. Love the fact the tourney has started. Should be a fun one.

There's a lot of prognosticators that didn't think UVA should have been in the tournament over ISU. They sure were right.
