Per ESPN. The article goes on to say that he will be further investigated.

So sad this works out incredibly well for USC. He will still recruit great and then right as USC is coming off of probation he will get slapped with a show cause and Hayden will fire him and get a coach who is actually good.

I'm telling you I love having Kiffin as the coach of USC. He is an AWFUL football coach... he has never won anything anywhere... and frankly the only thing that scares me is another coach being given his players.

Surprise surprise. I used to think that Pete Carroll was the biggest douche in college football. However, Kiffin makes him look like an altar boy. I can't stand Kiffin and hope he gets what coming to him.

I live five minutes from the campus here in Knoxville and the attitude is ridiculous. Their false sense of entitlement is unreal. The fact that their enitre athletic department is under investigation seems to go unmentioned.

I can't wait to see the rug pulled out from under Lane Kiffin and USC. Southern California as a university is still awaiting the result of their own appeals process and now these sanctions should follow Lane Kiffin, Monte Kiffin, and Ed O to California. It will be fun from this point on to sit back and watch things fall apart.

The BB coach at Tenn (Pearl) has been in trouble every place he has been also and I think he has had to serve a suspension this season for recruiting violations.

The suspension was given by the SEC comissioner reguarding recruiting violations. The letter of allegations that was handed down today by the SEC included eight major violations for the basketball team, and at least four for the football team. This entire university is upside down right now.

its the student learning from the master, then taking it to a new level.

I always thought PTC (pete the cheat) was the biggest scumbag in college football too. then he left and that monikor went Urban Meyer. When Urbie retired (the 2nd time) he relinquished the title and by default the monikor of biggest scumbag in college football went to Lane Kiffin.

I'm not a Kiffin supporter by any means:

BUT, USC's downfall this year was their defense, and that is Daddy Kiffin's jurisdiction. In 3 of their 5 losses, USC put up 30+ points, and Lane is solely in charge of running the offense (which was quite productive) and recruiting (which speaks for itself).

Is he a good coach? Maybe, maybe not. Is he an offensive whiz? Yes.
Is he a stellar recruiter (although shady)? Absolutely.

*Kiffin is an arrogant little brat that needs to get bent over the NCAA's knee, and forget a spanking, it's time for the belt.

^^^ By this you mean C. W. was not at fault for his losses here as the Irish head coach?

No i don't, and that is an extremely accurate parallel. Like CW though, I'd like to see where U$C is in another 4 years before passing judgment (hopefully it's in shambles like after 5 years of CW).

I don't understand how any parent would allow their kid to play for Lane. What happened to ethics in this country?

Have you seen parents these days??(especially those that would send their kid to USC) That should answer your question.

Except for Barkley being out of the game I didnt see much difference this year in ability. Performance was of course not there because this guy is a numb%$#@. We're in good shape for the next few years but I agree 100% that the next guy will have a ton of talent. Its strange how the series has run in dominant cycles-looks like the feel of Notre Dame up and southern cal down is the next cycle. If this guy was such a good coach he would have succeeded somewhere by now-its probably not happening.
