How ‘bout them Pacers?

Fun game last night. Giannis and Sabonis...can't pass that up.

All the old school guys here would love watching Patrick Beverly. He had zero points over the weekend vs the Sixers but was a +13 for the game. Tuesday I think he had 3 points and was a +7. Those guys help you win.

This is 80s basketball. No thuggery or Vince McMahon garbage.

1:10 mark, #4. WTF was Larry Bird thinking about?

Playing D? Common young guy misconception: Larry couldn't play D. Anyways, what was he supposed to do? Stand and watch like 2020?

Plus... He OWNED Dominique & the Hawks. They don't do interviews with Larry on Nique owning him, it's the other way around.

42 is still young? Nice.

I make an LOL comment about a highlight clip and you launch into a condescending Larry Bird defense crusade? Jesus, I never said anything about him not being able to play defense or his career record against Atlanta.

Rogue, out.

Yes 42 is too young to have credible knowledge/opinions of 80's NBA. Everything you know is secondhand sourced narratives and revisionist history.

LOL!

Dude, don't be a softy. Do your thing, you have an edge to your style, expect it back. It's the internet, who gives a flip what other's FEEL.

Keep talking baseball, you got a good handle on that.

1988 (Hey, Celtics vs Hawks!)

Screen_Shot_2018_04_14_at_10.12.58_AM.png

2018.

Difference? Spacing. Are defenses different today? Yes. Is it because of lack of effort, grit, toughness, Tee Dubya Tee Dubya? No. It's the five guys on the court have more ground to cover.

This being said, I can't even begin to fathom what some of the guys in the late 80s and early 90s would have scored today's game with this kind of offensive spacing and the modern day rulebook. Jordan scores mid to high 30s easy.

I met him in person once.

It was an overrated experience

Steph Curry is back, the Warriors lost in his return.

That said, weekend should be off to a good start.

The Pelicans-Mavericks game Wednesday night was excellent. Luka vs Zion for years to come, please.

Bad stat line but he had some signature circus shot moments.

Both of these should be pretty great. Lakers are reaching their potential lately with Lebron slowing entering playoff mode.

If they face Dallas in the first round, wow that's going to be a series. Dallas is actually the only other team other than the Lakers that is above average on the road.

The West is quite a guantlet again.

To your point - Pacers would be an 8 seed in the West. In the East however they’re a comfortable 6 or 5.

Yes. As good as Dallas is, they're a seven seed now and will have some trouble climbing the ladder.

East should still be a good bracket, but those top two seeds should advance easily. That may not be the case for the Lakers, Clippers and Nuggets.

next year will be even crazier - Lakers will have a chance to piece a more complete team together and the warriors will have steph and klay back to go along with a top 2 pick.

I dont see the Raptors doing much in the playoffs. Without Kawhi they are back to early disappointments IMO.

On the opposite, a team like NO who is currently 12th in west is one game out of the 8th seed in east and would be dangerous in playoffs. They are fun to watch and are gonna be playing some great basketball here at end of season with them all finally playing together for extended periods.

True, but I'll cross that bridge when I get there.

They are one of the better road teams. Celtics are okay away, Heat bad, 76ers worst road team in the NBA.

Lakers vs Pelicans in round one would be must see TV. Just don't know if they can leapfrog all of those teams.

Pacers play the Mavs on the road this Sunday. They’ve already lost their home game against them this year and Doncic didn’t even play that game.

Pacers have the Bulls tonight then the next 5 games are all against really good teams except Golden State but Curry is back now...and he’ll probably throw up 50.

Knicks are my other team and I’m still pissed they didn’t get Zion or even Ja. I understand the NBA does it to prevent tanking but the ping pong lottery IMO needs to go away.

what do you suggest in it's place. NFL and mlb have worse tanking with guaranteed pick placement. At least in the NBA you aren't guaranteed.
