If you don't like this song you can go put a bullet in your head.

What's the appeal of country music? The monotony is just brutal.

Song structure, singing style, lyrics, all of the instrumentation...there's so little variety it's mind boggling. We're going on 20+ years of the same songs. The drummers and bass players in these bands must be suicidal.

Well, I think the articles you write are monotonous and brutal. Different strokes I suppose.

Wtf do you know about what musicians think?

Can't go wrong with Cash. I play this to all the gals I see-letting them know where I stand right up front. Haha!

Col. Bruce Hampton

Not sure if any of you ever listened to him, but Col. Bruce Hampton died two nights ago on stage at the Fox Theater in Hotlanta. He was an awesome person and I was lucky enough to have played music with him here in Charleston. RIP Col.

I am aware of him... some of my fav modern artists credit him as being one of their major influences... heard about his passing... crazy that it was a concert in honor of him...

You know who's aged surprisingly well? Tears for Fears:

<iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/ST86JM1RPl0?ecver=1" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>

Their music is still being used frequently in modern commercials. If you'd argued that TFF would have more staying power than INXS sometime during the late 80s, people would have written you off as crazy. But here we are.

Idk what everyone is in to on this board but...

Judah and the Lion's Folk, Hop N' Roll Deluxe album is pretty good. Also, I'm diggin Chris Stapleton's new album, From a Room Vol 1. I'm a lifelong Incubus fan and their new album, 8, I'd classify as "meh." Kings of Leon's recent album, Walls, which came out last October is really good too.

Saw Clapton last night at the Forum... Gary Clark Jr opened for him... I'd highly suggest checking out Clark for those who have not done so.

Missed this a few months ago.

Call me crazy. I've listened to Song From the Big Chair more than any album ever. It's so mature and complex. Orzabal's voice is one of the very few who sounds the same live as recorded.

I expected some comment from you on that post, but when none was forthcoming, I assumed you didn't like Tears for Fears. Glad that's not the case.

Just been busy since May. Even missed Joshua Tree last night in Glendale. People were getting in for $20. Guess, AZ folk in the U2 demo don't care much for Bono telling them their business.

And btw, there wasn't anything wrong with INXS

Never said there was! They just had a much higher profile than Tears for Fears in the late '80s, so it's ironic that they've aged better.

Sorry was gonna put a wink at the end.

Being in college at the time, they were both 1st Team All Stars with the college rock crowd along with U2, REM, Smiths , Cure, Depeche, New Order, etc. The big diff was MTV and Michael Hutchence being a classic front man. Chicks dug him. Besides Everyone Wants to Rule the World, TFF's stuff isn't as poppy. I wouldn't surprise me if Songs From the Big Chair has sold more to date than Kick.

I listened through my entire swervedriver discography today. Highly underrated band IMO.
