About 500K kids get reported missing in the US alone, each year. World wide it's millions.

We're still shaking every tree to find any dirt on a movie that finally shed some light on this? It's arguably the most egregious sin of our lives, ignoring this.

For some reason, Leftist hate this movie. Right wingers love it. Make of that what you will.

Quick update: still arguably the greatest movie of all time according to audiences.

I, for one, do have problems with certain actors, directors, etc. and I choose not to support their work because of that.

All I did was point out the fact that valid criticisms have been made about some of the things in the movie and adjacent to the movie. It doesn’t mean everyone has to agree with the criticisms and it doesn’t mean the criticisms should overshadow the overall message of the movie.

I’m really sick of talking about it.

That's fair.

Hit a chord, did I? Relax, bud. All good and fun.

FYI though…Aunt Polly’s delivers to 3am should mom’s cereal cabinet run out of Fruity Pebbles. Might find some cash in the dryer or sofa. 😘
You went to 3 high schools and obviously failed to pass a single English class. How did you graduate? Did you cheat?

2 high schools and fuck yes, I cheated with the best of them. Was even better at it when I got to college. 💪

Roncalli sure in the hell didn’t bring there for a fucking spelling bee. 🤷🏿

That's perfectly fair if you don't want to support their work because of their beliefs. There are plenty of actors I don't agree with on personal opinions, I still see their work and I separate the actor from their personal life, but to each their own.

Some of the criticisms made by people that haven't seen the film are very much invalid, and that's the main sticking point. The movie and the message shouldn't suffer because people think this movie is political or it deals with wild conspiracies. This really is a movie that everyone should be able to sit down and enjoy, the film itself is not divisive. You're right that the criticisms shouldn't overshadow the overall message of the movie, especially the ones that are bogus.

Again just for some context, this movie that’s being persecuted by the leftist pedo media is sitting at 74% on Rotten Tomatoes, with a fresh rating.

That's critic reviews though. For reference Barbie got a 90% by the same critics and 90% by the users. It may be too high, but users gave Sound of Freedom 100%.

To be clear, I don’t not support actors, directors, etc. because of their opinions but because of their actions. For example, Roman Polanski sodomized a 13 year old girl. I will never support his work because of that.

This is perhaps the most annoying discussion that has ever occurred on IE.

And I say that as someone who, for some reason, willingly engaged with both Koon AND Wooly’s obvious trolling attempts many a time.

No one is advocating for child sex trafficking. No one is okay with it. At the same time, this movie isn’t breaking new ground on a subject matter that people are unaware of. It has just become another political annoyance on both ends, and you’re all guilty of falling directly into the shit lol

Sound of freedom Audience scores (which is what I said and all that matters), is at 100% with the max votes.

Eh well Saint Jim was the one who brought up the QAnon stuff first? I sincerely doubt this movie would be successful without his comments and subsequent swell of support. So any linkage or effort to fan the flames of culture war are down to him I would say

That has been my point this entire time.

The movie has hugely inflated ratings because it's being review bombed by people that are invested in the movie being successful. Can any of you that have seen it honestly say with a straight face that this movie is better than the last 10 best picture winners? (I only did 10 because I got bored) It's better than M, T2, Goodfellas, 12 Angry Men, The Godfather 2, No Country for Old Men, etc, etc, etc....

I don't care that they're doing it. It would actually be a good use of QAnnon peoples time to promote media concerning true stories of sex trafficking vs their normal antics.

And my point was that for all the crying about the movie being unfairly shit on by pedo critics, it still has a 74% which is a very respectable score.

My only real issue with the film is if it’s a good film or not, and that is a highly subjective process. Subject matter in itself does not make for either a good or an important film. In the case of the movie being discussed about, the subject matter is real and should be covered, but that doesn’t mean it is a good film. I can’t say if it is or not because I haven’t seen it, but the feel is low budget. This has nothing to do with conservative or liberal for me. If it was a documentary, I would be more inclined to watch it.

It's based on a true story, so they did take a few liberties with it, but for the most part the events and overall story stuck to what happened. They probably could have taken a few more liberties and added some more action to keep things moving quicker, but they didn't do that.

I would say it's certainly low budget, but that doesn't mean it's a bad film. They've made $110 million on a budget of $15 million, that should give some indication what audiences think. Some of the acting is superb. The children did a fantastic job, and Bill Camp was great.

I thought this argument got broken by the peak hotness thread. But it came back. It's beyond tedious. You guys need something else to argue over. I'll throw some red meat out there to stir the pot and hopefully move things along:

"Die Hard" is not a Christmas movie
"The Departed" is overrated and not even one of Scorcese's top ten films
"Fletch" isn't that funny
Keanu Reeves' English accent in "Bram Stoker's Dracula" isn't that bad. (Okay, I'm just being silly with this one but something has to derail this pointless shite show).

Rachel Welch in 1,000,000 years B.C
Kim Basinger LA Confidential & 9 1/2 weeks

I should add that Rachel Welch had a very long peak.
