Watched K_ller last night. Middle of the road pic about a paid killer. Script was okay, but the pace could have been better.

Watched Stalker on HULU which had a nice little twist at the end……also Five Nights at Freddie’s on Peacock was actually pretty decent.

Moneyball. Still one of my favorites.

No Sudden Move. Pretty good.

Judas and the Black Messiah. Very good.

A Most Violent Year. Not getting those two hours back

Was excited to watch this one because I love Fincher’s work. Thought it was decent but overall I felt underwhelmed.

dang it, haven't watched it, but i'm getting the sense i'm not going to love it. Whenever rotten tomatoes audience reviews are way lower than the critics reviews, i tend to follow the audience.

"Touch of Evil" the version that got re-worked in 1998 to be closer to what Orson Welles wanted the film to be. It's a fantastic movie and each time I watch it I am surprised at how edgy it is for 1958. That's a credit to Welles' talent as a director that he can suggest things with lighting and shot set-ups that lead your imagination into some dark places. I'm still torn about if Henry Mancini's great theme music should have been kept in over that brilliant opening shot. I know Welles didn't like it, but I think it gives more urgency to the fact that there is a literal ticking time bomb in the back of a car driving through densely packed streets.

Don’t Look Up with DiCaprio, Kate Winslett, Meryl Streep, Jennifer Lawrence and Jonah Hill is pretty good. Satire about a comet ending the existence of planet Earth. Lots of little barbs throughout. Fast forward through the credits for the last scene.

Better than I expected, some of the social humor was spot on.

I bought the Blu-Ray of "Hard Target." John Woo's 1st American movie and JCVD's best (not a high bar, I know). It has some additional scenes; nothing major, mostly just extending some of the actions sequences with things that got cut for being too violent back in 1993. It's interesting how a movie like this barely got an R-rating back when and now you can put one of the "John Wick" movies on regular TV and not have to edit a thing (except f-bombs, because, you know, for the kids).

It's too bad John Woo didn't catch on better in Hollywood. He started off strong in the 90s with 3 stellar action flicks: "Hard Target", "Broken Arrow" and "Face/Off." Then things unraveled fast for him and he went back to making movies in China. Maybe having Woo operating at a higher level and also John McTiernan not going to federal prison after the feds set him up would have kept the action genre from going into a half decade slump that it took "The Bourne Identity" and "Casino Royale" to turn things around.

I watched the latest Matrix movie and at first was a bit unsure what I was watching. I went into it with minimal preconceptions and core knowledge but maybe a big dose of nostalgia and intrigue because I love the Matrix universe. Anyway it took me a few times watching it to get at how the story continues and it’s clear the deep end keeps getting deeper. I dig deeper and found this channel which I absolutely enjoy. The analysis is great and even made me rethink much of the universe.

Discussions like The Oracle is the prime villain. The architect is a protagonist. Cypher is a sympathetic character. Free will vs choice inside a system of control and manipulation. The spin on the prototypical hero’s journey. Anyway check out the channel. I’m sure there is something someone will take away from it.

Oppenheimer.

I looked a bit, but didn't see any reviews.

Might be the best, and most frightening movie ever made.

If .99% of the drama is true... It's a shame our country has succumbed to gender ideology... But, could be another question for the professor's (communist) of our young ones, newest College experience.

Topless Florence Pugh gets it to a 9/10 on its own. Rest of the movie was great though.

Bye Bye Barry is a great documentary to check out if you haven’t seen it yet. He will forever be one of my favorite players (only thing that would make me like him more is if he would have played for the Irish lol). Refreshing to see how humble he was, not sure there are many pro athletes like him anymore.

watched it also, you kind of get the impression Sanders is on the autism spectrum somewhat. His inability to communicate with people was obvious

Didnt get that impression at all. Dude is just a football player who loves football and not all the fanfare and notoriety that came with it. He played for himself and his teammates. He’s very eloquent and well spoken communicating with people when its something he is passionate about or its on his terms.

It looks good but based off the trailers it’s going to be way more Hollywood than band of brothers and the pacific. Hopefully I’m wrong
