I bought the Blu-Ray of "Hard Target." John Woo's 1st American movie and JCVD's best (not a high bar, I know). It has some additional scenes; nothing major, mostly just extending some of the actions sequences with things that got cut for being too violent back in 1993. It's interesting how a movie like this barely got an R-rating back when and now you can put one of the "John Wick" movies on regular TV and not have to edit a thing (except f-bombs, because, you know, for the kids).
It's too bad John Woo didn't catch on better in Hollywood. He started off strong in the 90s with 3 stellar action flicks: "Hard Target", "Broken Arrow" and "Face/Off." Then things unraveled fast for him and he went back to making movies in China. Maybe having Woo operating at a higher level and also John McTiernan not going to federal prison after the feds set him up would have kept the action genre from going into a half decade slump that it took "The Bourne Identity" and "Casino Royale" to turn things around.
