Looks like De Niro is still having financial issues, still pumping out movies at 80. Don't like him as a person, but he's an awesome actor.

I never heard about DeNiro having money problems, but given the quality of some of his movie choices over the last 20 years it wouldn't shock me. Plus, he did just recently have a kid so there's that.

Daniel Day Lewis just fired his agent.

This looks like the elite moviemaking up there with Gangs of New York and Their Will Be Blood.

Leo should get an Academy Award for having intimate scenes w/ females who aren’t half his age

Watched “Inside” with William DaFoe. Art burglar gets trapped inside a High rise apartment with state of the art security and can’t get out. Not bad, but it did start to drag out and the ending was weird.

love that movie but in the scene when a 'young' De Niro stomps the shopkeeper hes supposed to be 36 years old then haha

That’s just about the only flaw I can think of in that movie. I still thought it was great, in particular the last hour or so. It was like watching all our old favorite stars (including Scorsese) dying on screen.

Went to see A Haunting in Venice last night. I really enjoyed it. I think it's my favorite in the series so far. Branagh really made this one his own, which makes sense since Hallowe'en Party is one of Christie's thinnest novels. Really looking forward to see what book he goes for next.

Watched Jaane Jaan an India crime mystery. It's not terrible, but it's something to watch if you have already watched everything else on your list.

The Saints of Newark was disappointing.

Reptile was pretty good.

"Totally Killer" on Prime. It's a horror/comedy/time travel flick with lots of 80s nostalgia. It's amusing and is a fun watch, especially if you grew up in the 80s.

"Marathon Man." Great performances from Dustin Hoffman, Roy Scheider, and Laurence Olivier. It still holds up almost 50 years later. It's not a feel good popcorn flick, but it's damn good.

New puppy so I'm sleeping on the couch because it pisses every 2 hours. Ripping through the 1960's/Connery Bond movies for the first time. Very well done, Thunderball was surprisingly good. Goldfinger, Goldeneye, and Casino Royal next on my list. I'm jumping around so open to recommendations.

You've got a strong line up there. I have those 3 flicks in my 007 top five. "Thunderball" isn't great but it's fun. The underwater "action" scenes are a bit of a slog that haven't aged well.

Watched Kodachrome with Ed Harris, Jason Sudeikis and Elizabeth Olsen. Sudeikis is a good actor. Pretty decent movie IMO.

"State of Grace." A 1990 film about Irish gangsters in Hell's Kitchen. It's fictional but some of the events track closely to the Westies. Great performances by Sean Penn, Ed Harris, and Gary Oldman. It's moody and grim, not date night viewing, but a solid little gangster film.

Watched Old Dads (comedy) and You People on Netflix. Old dads centers around three 50 year old dads (Bill Burr, Bobby Cannavale and Bokeem Woodbine) struggling with everyone being woke and not accepting responsibility. Definitely recommended.

You People (comedy) stars Jonah Hill, Eddie Murphey, Julie Louis-Dreyfus and Lauren London. Interracial couple deals with different cultures and generations. IMDB sums it up best "This very talented cast is absolutely wasted on a terrible script filled with inane and outdated jokes.".

Also caught Dave Chappelle's Equanimity & The Bird Revelation from 2017. LMAO.
