Maybe it's not but there's back story is just certain people on this board that thinks they think they have the right to act douchey or say whatever they want and criticize things other people say at every turn. I am not perfect in culpable however I'm a true Notre Dame fan I love this team and I do respect others.

I do like your shirt I actually am offended by very little things I wasn't overly offended by it I'm more thought it was in poor taste I guess I Revere the mother of God and believe that it's not fair how you're allowed to say whatever you want about Catholics I think the shirt is funny.

I think you lost me. The shirt is way more offensive than the term "Hail Mary" as it's used in football. I guess I approach my faith in a different way though. I follow the rules for the most part (Except meat on Fridays during Lent, I never remember), but I try to be pretty relaxed about everything if there's no evil intentions. I figure God enjoys a little humor now and then too, I mean, he did create the platypus.

Is the site slowing down? I don't see it that way. We had the most users online in January of this year. Of course, most of those were guests and probably bots, but I haven't gotten the impression that overall the site is on the downward trend. Maybe you're just referring to overall posts/traffic being down, probably because the season started off in the shitter...which is kind of understandable. Shitty seasons have a way of culling the herd a bit.

I'm of the opinion this site is on the back 9. We have banners of David Bruton and Charlie Weis. And the 'good ole' boys' haze new members pretty hard, and the good ole' boys aren't sticking around forever. There are probably 10 good posters that have left in the past 2 years, and we haven't replaced all 10.

It's all good I've been on this site for a really long time I noticed a lot of the old posters that used to be good are not here. Just gets all that there's a certain group of people that believe that they're above everyone else and can kind of makes snide snarky remarks whenever somebody else makes a point what are the points valid or not.

I think gk has a point though. While some posters are no longer here, it doesn't mean it's due to a lack of quality content/discussion on the site. It's just real life catching up to people. I find it harder and harder to get away and post as well. Every year I tell myself I'm going to spend less time on forums, and sometimes I do end up spending less time...but it's usually less time posting and more lurking The total time investment is usually the same though.

I do agree with your point that the old guard can sometimes haze new members, especially fans from other teams. We don't get many these days, many that aren't trolls anyway, but the decent ones should be encouraged to post rather than dissuaded.

TT and GITF have been gone for a long time. More than 2 years. TP is still around.

OMM left because he couldn't handle criticism of BK so I hope he will come back eventually.

I find it harder and harder to deal with all the haters in the whole country that hate Notre Dame it just continue to talk s*** to you throughout the day. Every time I think this program is going in the right direction boom back to the same freaking thing. I really thought Brian Kelly was the answer and even when I started to sour on him I thought maybe I was being premature now here we go again. It's like cut copy paste every 5 years.

I'm confused - did you just make a 'guess' a 'fact', or am I missing something? This is something I really don't care about. I think someone who doesn't have much stake in the site would agree with me but I have no way to prove that, so again, my opinion. I don't care to debate it, especially since I cannot prove that I think it's on the decline.

Remember when the site went down for like 3 days? It was because someone or something sent about 30,000 bots to IE which crippled the servers.
