My favorite part about Koon is that he's a real person. It's one thing to have a Brick who enjoys his role as a unique figure and we love engaging his imaginary world.

But Koon is really himself and always posted his hot takes and was certain of his brilliance. I would still love to get a collection together from IE patrons to see Koon square up Asmar Bilal, lol. I mean for $1500, he should be willing to take on Asmar 5 times to show us what he's got.

As for mickens. I have no clue if he would be a great DC. Really only Mickens himself, Freeman, Golden would have a clue on this.

If Golden leaves, Freeman just can't get it wrong. We've now had 4 really good DCs in a row, and I'd argue Freeman is probably the worst of the 4, but has a chance to be a better HC than DC.

We see what happens when you get a coordinator spot wrong, like he did with Parker. Can't get DC wrong too.

Depending on who comes back for 2024, this is going to be a very young inexperienced group on defense. Whoever the DC is next year, I hope that person is given a little bit of slack to work with that having been said.
