Nice win last night but we all know the committee will spin it somehow and say it shouldn’t mean as much because Toney was out. Some questions and concerns.
1. I tweeted was this Ash or Freeman calling plays and Bowens dad liked the tweet. I’m guessing Freeman had a say this week.
2. Did Bettis get in the game at all? I get Gilbert played great but once again Bettis goes off last week gets zero targets this week?
3. OL has givin up 2 sacks all year which is a crazy stat.
4. 1 Turnover for Carr all year which is great.
5. Graham looked great last night is this his breakout game?
6. Don’t want to look ahead but with Mckinney and Moore gone after this year we are gonna be in a world of hurt at corner. I’m guessing Zanders will start and Gray at nickel if he comes back. I think you need to bring in a corner transfer for depth and then hope Pauncey and Adam’s are regulars and ready to play. I don’t see a Moore walking through the door in the coming in Freshman class

“World of hurt” is an incredible over exaggeration when, like you said, Adams and Pouncey are waiting in the wings. Hasan and Alston could fight for playing time too. These aren’t the days when they were crossing their fingers WR converted CB or a 3 star would hit for them. But, yes, they should grab 1-2 in the portal.

You know the #1 and #2 things that the CFP Committee and E$PN will beat the drum on or make sparky comments about are the incompletion and Toney being out.

I really have no complaints. Just get healthy. If Moore and Sanders don't go down this is a 3 score win over the number one team in the country. Rematch in January with Tae, Moore, Brewu, Bowen, Onye, and McKinney and we are stomping them with or without Toney.

If they do, who cares. Can’t stress about something that is completely out of their control. Literally ever person that isn’t brain dead and knows ball knows it was incomplete. He never had full control anyway, and you can tell by his body language he knew he didn’t catch it.

As for Toney, it’s a lose-lose situation just like Clemson 2020. If you win, it’s “oh but they didn’t have Toney (Lawrence)”. If you lose, it’s “you couldn’t beat them without their best player?”. People will bitch either way.

Then Marcus needs to be on tv every day saying Miami only scored 1 TD when both starting corners in the game and without injuries, Toney isn’t worth that many points.

Crazy how this game shifted on the “catch” fumble. not only do we not get it, Moore gets knocked out and they proceed to storm right back in game going after replacement. We get that fumble we win 38-10.
I actually agree. Moore gets hurt and out that series and the next and it’s quickly a game. Not only that we had a few other plays get injured during that fumble series, came back but probably hobbled… but you get the fumble it’s 24-3 with great Field # and Moore has both eyes.

Post game thoughts: WE WON! ENJOY IT! CHEERS ND NATION!

-W/o injuries, this game would've been 38-10 and that is my lone disappointment. Toney isn't worth that many points. A close game like it finished, however, we all know the narrative that will be spun in the coming week's media blitz.
-I don't understand how Chris Ash can see the defense in the first half last night and be like, "Nah, Soft Zone w/ vanilla rush all day." This team plays so much better when they're the aggressor. It's literally their identity. Don't take it away--good things happen.
-CJ Carr...incredible game. Against a weak pass defense, but the moment was enormous and he delivered. High five! Very nice!

ESPiN writer puts us behind two two-loss sec teams and says this:

None of it means anything, as most “experts” don’t follow the games closely outside of whatever narrative they want to talk about, but it’s still fascinating that our defense without a collection of starters is simply glossed over

Which writer? And yeah, we all know the game being played by them internally. It's a joke and entirely subjective.

Wowza. What a night. I didn’t sit down for one second during the game - and I was in my living room!!!

I really hope we can get healthy to make a playoff run. This team has the talent to make a deep run.
