just saw this...who knows if its right because its sourced from Buzzfeed, yet the Buzzfeed editor was backing up the CNN guy earlier today

If BuzzFeed is correct, it appears CNN’s Andrew Kaczynski outed the wrong guy – twitchy.com

Won't be long before lawyers figure out someone can make some money. I'm predicting a lawsuit filing against CNN within a week. I find all this crap silly and sad. But I love the media finally getting a little of their own medicine. They've become to powerful for their own good.

Has it? I don't know either way with WaPo. Can you elaborate?

My point was to the broader effect of "taking the high ground" against Trump. Let's look at some people who have taken that road.

- McCain
- Obama
- Jeb Bush
- Ted Cruz
- Rand Paul

Which one of those guys are looked at in a better light by the general public, or in particular, Trump followers? They all took the "high ground" approach to Trump and it certainly didn't stop Trump or his followers. CNN's comments seemingly are enough in and of themselves as enough evidence for his followers to hate someone.

Maybe some idiots, but put your broad brush away. You could also substitute CNN for Trump's name and make a better case.

Really? Not to burst your bubble, but the average American was already suspect of mainstream media. Many people that watch CNN do so with open eyes. No different than someone watching Fox News, which btw... is no better with #fakenews.

Furthermore, that's all fine and dandy, but nothing to do with my original point of "taking the high ground" not seemingly working against Trump followers. You kind of are proving my point actually.

In short there has been reporting that the Washington Post is in incredible shape right now relative to where it was a few years ago. They don't publicly disclose a lot of financial data, but people have reported that their digital subscriber base and views are way up... and they've basically done it by being as accurate and fair as possible with their writing while still delivering big stories and scoops. Even their print circulation is up almost 10% in just a couple years after steadily losing about 40% from their 1998 to 2015. They're basically the anti-CNN... going for substance over sensation in both their media and marketing... and it's really restored some of the former giant's glory.

My point was to the broader effect of "taking the high ground" against Trump. Let's look at some people who have taken that road.

Yeah, people are screwed. Because it makes them look weak to take an insult and turn the other cheek. Organizations I think can behave differently.

When you have a dedicated cable news channel, they could've simply ignored the gif. Or most of Trump's antics. Instead, by continuing to engage him they're basically going "Skip Bayless" for ratings over substance. In the end, it's going to do massive damage to their brand among informed consumers... whereas a traditional liberal outlet like WaPo going for substance+accuracy has seen serious growth by taking the opposite approach.

There's never been a bubble. There are as many media/CNN blind folk as there are Trump blind folk which you commented on.

Also, in my post on CNN, I often add "all media" or "media in general". Personally I am disgusted with 95% of the media today. I agree Fox is certainly bias, but the comparison to CNN's bias and negative reporting is certainly debatable.

I would point out the Harvard study depicts CNN's tone as 93/7% negative bias while Fox is 52/48%. That's a pretty damn big difference. Feel free to argue with Harvard but MediaBias/FactCheck rates Harvard as "least biased" while just a bit left, and their "factual reporting" as "high".

https://mediabiasfactcheck.com/harvard-political-review/

I wan't commenting on the "high road" aspects of your last couple posts today. I was commenting on your statement about Trump followers in one of those posts, and your earlier post today about CNN.

It's just starting too. CNN will be on their knees by the weekend, before 4chan even starts doxxing their employees and sponsors.

*the casualties will be great, as in any Great War

It's not really a war so much as a turkey shoot.

Trump be like

raw

going into the G20.

That part does bother me. DJT lucked into this, and doesn't deserve any credit for the firebombings that will bring down CNN, but he will certainly gloat like he's the driving force. Little weasel......

Meh. He is certainly a weasel, but the situation is linear. CNN is 93% negative bias towards Trump + Trump fights back + Person makes meme + Trump tweets meme + CNN plays the victim card for clicks + CNN threatens meme creator + Meme world sees it as attack on their free speech + Meme world goes to war with CNN.

If anyone else tweeted the same meme, CNN would not have looked at it as an opportunity to play the victim card, scream injustice, get clicks, and flex.

They just miscalculated by flexing their muscles going after the evil meme creator. They should have just stayed with the victim card. Regardless, Trump's battle with CNN set it all in motion.

I don't give a steaming crap who gets or takes credit. It's about time media got a little of it's own medicine. Social Media (which I hate) is about the only thing that has the power to keep these dumb asses in check. I hope all media gets a wake up call. But.... they won't. Click or die baby.

All of this right here.

I don't care what side anyone is on, we can all agree this is a huge victory. It's nice to see everyone united on something.

I think we just need to get Wooly on board to make it unanimous lol.
He knows CNN/media is crap but it goes against his grain not to argue.

CNN is just the tip of the iceberg. Do a clean sweep of Fox News, Breitbart, Infowars, Salon, Voxx, and all the other shitstain news outlets.

You'll get me on board about the time that you quit orgasmism over what in the end, will amount to nothing. Half the country hasn't even heard of 4chan or give two shits about this "story". What I find interesting is that while you felatio this story raw like it's your favorite sports team, I cannot seem to recall a single time where you called out Fox for their poor reporting of Obama. Or the fact that they have retracted more stories in the last five years than anyone. Or how they are admittingly a puppet to the right wing. Never one peep from you there.

It's not just CNN that has said bad things about Trump. Every single news outlet outside of Fox and Brietbart call him out daily. Mostly because he's been a complete embarrassment to the office. But you clearly don't care about any of that. Your entire discussion point is a meme of CNN.

Is there an Obama Presidency thread? There wasn't a media matters thread until the end of his reign.

Anyway, while I do not like Obama, I didn't have a snowflake meltdown like you and many other dems when a president I didn't like got elected. I didn't gush hatred over the dude, mount my high horse, and climb the moral high ground. I also would not have snow flaked if HRC got elected. Disappointed yes, but meltdown and hatred no. While I have spent more time funning on CNN and MSNBC (plain and simple, there's just so much material to fun on), I am nauseated by almost all media with the exception of Reuters and a few others and have said so countless times. I have also clearly stated I have disdain for Washington DC status quo in general. Can you say the same?

You can't deny the majority of mainstream media is lib (unless you want to argue with the Harvard report). You can't deny that the majority of Hollywood is lib. There lies the reason most media and sensationalism is anti Trump. Reuters and The Economist are not in constant Trump-bash mode. Both are about as centered as you can get.

I could give two shits about Fox and/or CNN. I watch them both for about 15-30 min a day just to see what both idiots are saying.

But what gives me great "orgasmism" are the snowflake meltdowns, while the media and status quo take it in the teeth. That is delicious, and why I've spent more time in the political threads these days. Watching the meltdown, and making fun of the meltdown, is so much more pleasant than melting down.

Enjoy your meltdown tough guy.

4chan is planning a second push here shortly, and if they get scrubbed again, they are breaking out the big guns.

I hope they get scrubbed again lol.

Some glorious memes out there. Great one of a kid (trump), pushing a baby (cnn) into a pool with a shark. Will try to find it later and post.

I have not mastered posting vids/gifs either. If they are not vids on YouTube or easy link gifs from a search engine, I'm about useless.

How do you know when you've won an argument with a neocon? When they resort to calling you the most overused, cliche' political insult over and over again instead of actually debating your points. I'm not sure you even know what a "snowflake" is after reading your response. Either way, calmer than you are.... ;) lolz.

1) That's right Wooly, you win every argument on here and everyone who disagrees with you is probably a neocon or alt-right

2) Apparently someone posted Andrew's address online and there were protests at his house. This is definitely NOT OK and is just as wrong as the protests outside the homes of political figures as well (right or left)

1) Thanks? Seriously though... are we always gonna do this thing where you insult me without addressing any of my points? Cuz we can just ignore eachother as well. Me and YJ have been chatting on here a long time (both debate and friendly chatter) and trust me... he's a big boy. He doesn't need your backup.

2) Who's fault is that? All over the Internet (including here) you have people wanting to "see CNN burn" and "pay for their bias". But now it's surprising to see people giving out the home address where this man's family live? This is meme culture in its finest. The ignorant masses putting political memes over their own moral compass and it's happening in this very thread. Hell, Dakota loves it per his post above. Literally rooting on a mob outside a man's home where his family lives. It's pathetic.
