A significant personal issue has nothing to do with MF.I know I’m viewed as a MF hater…but at what point do we worry that all this staff turnover is on him? Do people not want to work with him? Asking in good faith.
Prob about the time when I have literally nothing better left to do in life.at what point do we worry that all this staff turnover is on him?
To be fair, I’d guess most people who spend summer weekdays hanging out on a college football team message board are probably like us.We have some of the worst fans....
That's it .... sums bitch!!!!Okay this explains it. He was so embarrassed at being wrong about Ausberry's squat form that he had to resign.
I see what you did here! Nice!A really strong hire is needed. Need to lift this program to the next level.

Agree, i just don't like that we might be accepting again like we did for OC when we should have been much more prepared and go get someone great.Finding a good strength guy isn’t as hard as other spots. Not worried unless it’sa bigger issue of his departure.
You are just gonna throw this out there without any explanation? This was Marcus Freeman related.
ND wasn’t expecting this to happen.
Personal issues did play a role, but it’s not the driving factor.
No hazing or any of that crap.
It’s nothing bad.You are just gonna throw this out there without any explanation?
I'm pretty ignorant with S&C, so what does it mean for S&C to go in a different direction? It’s nothing bad.
Freeman wanted to go in a different direction, but wanted Balis to be the one to do it, but Balis wasn’t comfortable with it.
Freeman didn’t expect Balis to resign.
More modern, sports science based training.I'm pretty ignorant with S&C, so what does it mean for S&C to go in a different direction?
Yup, still means nothing to me hahaMore modern, sports science based training.

Where are you getting this from? From everything that has been said about Balis he was on the cutting edge of sports science and technology. Thats part of the reason the guys under him kept getting hired at pretty big gigs.More modern, sports science based training.

That’s not accurate.Where are you getting this from? From everything that has been said about Balis he was on the cutting edge of sports science and technology. Thats part of the reason the guys under him kept getting hired at pretty big gigs.
Compassion? Is the hard ass strength coach a thing of the past?A lot less emphasis on raw strength and speed, more emphasis on flexibility, compassion, and sustainability.
No just a buzz word for the peons in the public to consume.Compassion? Is the hard ass strength coach a thing of the past?
A lot less emphasis on raw strength and speed, more emphasis on flexibility, compassion, and sustainability.
My best suggestion is to not be a pussy, train hard and hope for the best.In watching Quarterbacks on Netflix, and also watching Baker Mayfield work out in person, I can see how this is the emphasis. Maybe it's just a QB thing, but its not just heavy weights all day every day (though I assume Balis didn't do this either). How does one build muscle in a manner to prevent injury from the awkward positions guys are put in during tackles. Interesting stuff for sure.
Does this mean less foot injuries?
