Got it. Thanks for the clarification. I wasn't sure if there was some mention of it because of the fakes on ST or something, but the offense was pretty flat in the second half and I didn't think there was any opportunity for us to even be considered running up the score. That makes more sense.
I got you, fam.

No issues whatsoever with the fake punt. We were stopped on downs in the previous possession. It was early on in the 4th quarter in a 2 td game. Excellent call and excellent execution, which led to 3 points.

It wasn’t the worst thing or most egregious, but the fake field goal was slightly kind of a chicken shit call in my opinion. It was a very manageable field goal (40 yards or so) in a 24-7 game to play with 4:20 left. I’m more peeved in that it was a dumb call to waste that play when you may need it in the future.

Manageable, yet we missed the kick four plays later?

It was a solid call when your kicker is hurt.

If we make the playoffs with injuries to 6 starters, I’ll consider the season a success.
For real. Our OL has been impressive all year and dare I say I didnt see the drop off I expected with BMo out. If we can start connecting on downfield pass plays....Ill be a bit more optimistic.

Feels like the OL has gotten better every week, which is all we could hope for. Still some growing pains but the ground game is still producing explosives every week, and Leonard has time and is looking more comfortable in the pocket.

Very healthy perspective if you look at it from a "how it started to how it got to how it's going" point of view. I continue to think this coaching staff is building more equity than they are getting credit for when it comes to talent evaluation and depth, and the offensive line is certainly carrying a good part of the weight in that respect.

Winning his sixth straight game for the first time in his HC career would be a nice next step on Saturday.

Until they don't crush it. Worried about another setback. Ugh-apologies.

Yeah, the DEI stuff is par for the course, though. That's the air we breathe.

Pretty wild, though, if you take those three horrible losses away he's 30-5 overall. Totally bonkers.
Agreed but here it’s in such bad faith. Everyone on this board followed the bk leaving drama close enough and understood the score. 90+% of us were on board with the hire and 10% were vacillating between wait for fuckle and never freeman bc no head coaching experience. There was zero dei issue in anyones mind then. I member 🍇

Looking back, and after watching Pyne take snaps for Mizzou this season, it's absolutely wild to me that they won 9 games in Freeman's first full year.
