Why would BK’s win in 2020 against Clemson count, but not MF’s win against Clemson in 2022?

Why would BK’s win against #23, 4 loss LSU in a bowl game count, but not MF’s win against #23, 4 loss SCar in a bowl game?

Why would BK get credit for beating “good” USC teams, but MF doesn’t for beating USC when they were actually ranked in the top ten?

MF’s resume is more than “one win over TAMU” in this regard.

BK lost to Duke (when they were truly Duke) and NAVY in year 5 FFS.

I wasn't saying TAMU didn't count. I was saying it is mostly similar to several of the wins BK had. Unless TAMU goes on a playoff run or runs their table or something that win is more similar to 2012 Oklahoma then it would be taking down a titan (which Kelly couldn't do).

If two weeks ago didn’t show you freeman isn’t a head coach then maybe these two comments will.

We will never win a championship with that mindset.

If they felt they could win the game vs. purdue by focusing more on running the ball, then in the end, that worked because they kicked Purdue's ass. 350+ rushing yards, 7 rushing TDs....

Most coaches would say the same regarding stats.... I've never seen a coach say that "I care about how many passing yards my QB puts up." It's all about the game plan they put into place for that week. They want to win the game.

We spent the entire second half trying out the future and that's just fine.
Considering some of the injuries that have already mounted up, it's a good thing.

There are going to be some curveballs this season. We've seen some already. Having as many guys in place who are going to be able to respond would be a good thing down the line.

Dude's tone has definitely changed since NIU. Seemed off on his first presser this week and now this. (I don't care, just hasn't been his charismatic usual self.)

Kind of like it tbh

Guy was literally on top of the world after beating A&M just to have it all crashing down seven days later. Different feel than the Marshall game where he was still an unknown, he had Saban, Meyer, and a bunch of other greats saying what a star he was going to be at Notre Dame after that win. That’ll humble you.

Freeman's tone has been different the whole season. On local news interviews, postgame interviews, etc. he doesn't have that charismatic personality.

With our schedule this season I told myself prior to this season ND would be owing Freeman a contact after this season.

Is he not happy with some of our recruiting efforts? I wonder if something is going on behind closed doors.

Golden Boy Matt Rhule had an absolutely awful loss last night. Nobody is immune.

IDGAF that Illinois is ranked. That was a must win game for Nebraska and he was out coached by Bret Bielema.

They pissed away all momentum and good will in a game against Illinois.

This is fucking ridiculous that we came out to play like this again. Freeman ain't it, man.

100%. Gotta move on from him. He does not have it. If we lose this one, does he survive the season?

How he ties himself to Leonard will determine this season.

Too many missed throws.

But, Faison fumbling ain’t on Freeman. The holder not securing the snap ain’t on him.

The choice of Leonard is though.

This team should be tripping and stumbling their way to an easy win when it comes to talent v talent on the field. I’m curious what other coaches genuinely think when they get to play a Marcus Freeman led team.

So I just checked in to see the temp and this is the first post I see,… yikes.

Dude. If a mishandle or fumble or muff happens it just happens. If flags, muffs, and bone headed plays happen regularly then it’s on the coaching, period. This is the worst coached ND team I’ve never seen,.. it’s unreal really. You just know they’ll find ways to shoot themselves in the foot almost every week. That’s coaching

If he wants to show he’s the guy in this game, he needs to switch to Angeli for the second half.

Let’s see those stones. (Which wouldn’t require big stones to begin with - it’s the obvious choice at this point)

Honestly that timeout he just called is the biggest indictment of his lack of awareness I think I’ve ever seen. Incredibly stupid.
Especially confusing considering he chose to run the ball and go into half against NIU at our own 40 with like 50s left (and maybe a timeout?)

So we call timeouts for the other teams, and when we have the ball near midfield, we choose to go into half.

Terrible management all-around.

They are his players. If you aren’t going make changes when players don’t do what they are supposed to that’s on him too. Fasion shouldn’t be back there in the first place so that is on him.
