Horrible teacher? Rees could be a lot of things, but he's gotten arguably a lot out of little talent. They were right in benching Wimbush for Book, jury is still out on Buchner. It's impossible to evaluate these QBs right now when they're getting pressured up the middle immediately after the sack. Nobody is fixing this offense until the OL is right.
How many qb pressures did Marshal have yesterday? Really didn’t seem like that was the main issue. Would have to rewatch it.

I think Tyree has a bit of GAIII in him. Great runner, not necessarily a great running back...BUT, he's fantastic in the open field and has really good hands. We saw that in the Fiesta game when he snagged 6 receptions for 118 yards, yet just 6 carries for 18 yards. He had a couple nice receptions yesterday too. We have to get him the ball in space, he just doesn't work between the tackles and quite frankly he's not a great blocker either. Line him up more in the Slot and outside, he's dangerous there.
Okay Mr or Mrs. Rees, we hear you.

OMG I just watched Marcus Freeman’s Presser. Oh boy. We have a head coach that was promoted too quickly and we have an office of coordinator that was promoted too quickly

I want him to work out and be the next awesome coach for ND. However if you listen to his press conferences i just don't hear the same person as i did when he got hired and in all those interviews.

I would hope not lol, he's 0-2 this season. He needs to get a win and turn things around. And it starts with Cal, this weekend. Then he starts putting together his list of OC candidates he wants on his and ND's radar as he goes through the season.

I think heistand coming back but as a softer version of himself is part of the problem. The oline looks mollycoddled which probably also made the dline soft over the pre season.

His o lines as a whole have never been anything special. Certainly nothing like an Alabama, Georgia, Ohio State o line.

He recruited some great players for sure. Some got drafted in the first round. But as a whole, they were only pretty good.

The run blocking left something to be desired at times, some of that may have been on Long's schemes, but his pass blocking as a unit has always been pretty good.

How petty are you really? Lame insults to multiple posters, 150 downvotes, and you changed your sig to a user's message just to troll them. Why don't you use your time and do something worthwhile and positive?
20000 posts and you lecture me? Go get a life loser.

I think the one thing that gives me hope is knowing ND will be able to lean on their running game and take the pressure off Pyne.

Really don't think holding a strong press conference should be at the top of the list when judging a head coach.

Wasn't sure where to stick this question, but the last couple years of BK's tenure he had a sports psychologist on staff and several players spoke very highly of her and how she was extremely helpful. Is she still around?

Finally watched the presser. Nothing to see there really. Freeman has a good understanding of what to say to the media. Not high on the list of skills a winning coach needs, but at least they (the media) won't turn on him.
