You are a formerly banned member though… do a better job of covering your tracks!
Was he banned for not capitalizing the first word of every sentence or for not using appropriate punctuation at the end of the sentences?

Close!

The response we were looking for was, “didn’t talk about certain female sexual responses enough”

IDK how to measure Marcus because we have the best pair of coordinators in the country, and our recruting remains Brian Kelly.

I can’t believe we continue to get this idiotic type of post. Recruiting has been definitively better the last three Cycles. Couple big target still left on the board before we know where exactly We land with this one.

Doesn’t Freeman get credit for identifying, recruiting, and hiring his stellar coaching staff? Golden, Denbrock, and many of our position coaches could work and get paid almost anywhere. They apparently want to work for Coach Freeman at ND.
No Savy Jack gets that credit

I said this at the beginning of the year, with the coordinators we have MFMF doesn't have to worry about coaching at all, let them call the Xs and Os. His primary focus just needs to be on recruiting, motivation, morale and being the face of the team. If we evaluate him on just those things that he should focus on then I believe he is doing a pretty damn good job.

Edit: he should also be focused on convincing Bevacqua to pull out of UA

I’ve always said MF is a great cheerleader. What he isn’t is a great or good H. At least not at this point, at this time. His coordinators are top flipping shelf and run self sufficient. If anyone needs to be tied down and paid, it is those two.

But MF is the reason they are here. Golden constantly as sung MFs praises and has been quoted a couple times saying how much he likes working for Freeman

This is true but I think people are selling him short on his impact as a head coach and the aggressive culture he's creating within his coaching staff - calling time-outs on D near the end of first halves to give the O time to score again, going for it on 4th down often and being successful at a high rate, special teams aggressiveness and trick plays, getting 2nd and 3rd teamers in early in blowouts and having them continue to use the full playbook and continue to be aggressive - these are all coaching decisions he's responsible for. This is different from the previous regime and, I believe, a tremendous improvement.

He still has to improve his in-game decisions within close games, but I believe he is much more than a CEO-type who puts the right people in charge while he mainly takes care of player-rated things. He certainly has picked the right assistant coaches and is letting them do their thing, but he's also positively impacting how the staff prepares the team for each game and their aggressive mentality throughout.

We'll finish around 16th this year. 9th and 12th the two years prior. If you told me that was any 3 year run for Kelly I'd say "yep". Perhaps there's a tiny uptick but let's not pretend remaining ~12th each year is what anyone was hoping for

If you put them in order who would have thought right now recruiting should have been the last item.

That's what I call stacking classes. One glaring difference between that other Jabroni and MF is outside of WR recruiting this year (and this class is not done yet) there haven't been any holes at a position group in any of the three classes. Kelly constantly had holes are position groups

Somewhat related, but Luke Fickell just missed a bowl game at Wisconsin. So glad we didn't go that route.

I'm ok with the take that Freeman hasn't maximized ND recruiting, despite getting closer more consistently than BK ever did (save for that one off 2013 class)

Rankings aren't amazing but I don't think BK ever had so many underclassmen playing so well. You'd get guys like Jaylon and Kyle Hamilton sure but, whether it's good scouting or good coaching, it seems like every freshman and sophomore who has played this year has been more than ready.

Marcus has basically taken every Cincinnati staff member he wanted. I wonder what the story is there?
With Gino, he wasn't going to stay OC at Wisconsin, so between QB coach at Wisconsin and ND, the choice is pretty clear.

With Brown, kinda the same. WR coach at Wisconsin or ND? Pretty clear choice.

On paper, Longo was probably better qualified than Gino anyway. Maybe Fickell was fine to let him go (at the time). Do we think Gino goes to a P4 OC job this offseason? Do we think it's a better job than Wisconsin?

I believe both Guidugli and Brown took paper demotions to come to ND.

EDIT: I was wrong about Guidugli. I forgot he has the passing game coordinator title at ND as well.

Has ND turned into "DB U" under Freeman and Mickens?

Always a relative weakness of Kelly coached ND teams, now is maybe our best position group over the last couple years.

We have a long way to before we catch up to LSU, Bama and OSU.
