Was referring to Shefty. If he continues to have success, his name will always be discussed. Hope the contract rumored has been signed. Some of you are in denial that Notre Dame is the only place the will ever coach. Truly wasn't trying to start any drama, just pointing facts that it could happen sooner then we think.
I’m just giving you a hard time. lol hope he has signed as well.

I'm sorry. But I just love how we just signed a top 4 class and everyone is just like "so are we flipping anyone late?" This must be the different aisle I've heard so much about from other coaches.

Make sure he gets paid and damn near guarantee he gets what he needs. You better believe MF Doom is aware of the optics of him leaving without a title. He's seen how this backfires on candidates. Barring mistreatment, he won't leave without a title unless he is disrespected. His recent recruiting class is evidence of this. He's too competitive and in a major position to just walk away with a "he did some good things" associated with his name and experience at ND.

I feel moved to give our coach a full standing applause. It's because I think that although what I'll say has been said before, it probably hasn't risen above other sorts of hurrahs Coach Freeman has been showered with (some maybe not as deserved as fans would claim, and many fully deserved.) The one trait that I want to raise up is his gentlemanly likability. He's a very good CEO, that's absolutely correct; but I believe that the significant swing in the non-ND commentator ND "appreciation" comes in a big way from people simply liking Marcus Freeman. We know that most could not warm up at all to Coach Kelly (please let that Dead Dog lie; it's been ragged on too long, and is now a sickness of the mind); but people, almost all people, seem to genuinely like Marcus Freeman. I believe that is one very unusual thing for anyone to pull off, no matter the position in life, and particularly in a power position. That is why we need to hold on to Coach Freeman until he goes senile --- there are almost none like him.

IF we make these playoffs this year, I believe that it is this subtle trait which will have shifted the balance towards "his"team.

You right. He is the most kind, professional and intelligent coach out there. He is earning so much respect from people within football and outside of football. He has this team firing on all cylinders and recruiting insanely well and people hate that. Freeman has brought ND football to the card table again.

Get your team ready to play at the start of the season
See, this really hurts because they could have won it this year. I’ve been around long enough to expect that not to be a thing most years,… I know recruiting is going well but man, yeah he really needs to avoid the early loses, at least we didn’t have the embarrassing wtf loss this season.

Marcus needs to be the asshole that I know he’s hiding in there. Clearly this isn’t working.
