I have zero reason to watch now

she'll be in season 2 but i doubt there's a season 3 without her.

Maybe Bo Wallace can take up the slack?

She must know that Netflix isn't going to air a 3rd season in Scooba because she's potentially leaving a lot of money on the table by taking that job. After all this, she could easily do something bigger.

very surprized a bigger school didnt take her on. Its probably a very demanding job though.

I'm half way through and Stephens is still almost as bad as last year even though he had said he was embarrassed by last season. You have to feel bad for the other coaches. But my god did they get some talent from big programs transfer there; from Florida Stare, Georgia, Penn State, Texas Tech.

I checked ahead and the most disappointing thing is where Wright signs to play, he's just so electric, it's kind of sad.

Also, Ollie is transferring from Nicholls State after this one year.

What De'Andre Johnson did at FSU to get expelled was inexcusable but he's a helluva QB. Kid is a true dual threat. Believe he signed w/ FAU & Kiffin.

Isaiah Wright is electric but he's delusional if he thinks he's going to play in the League. Doesn't care about school and insists on being selfish and playing despite a concussion. I truly hope he can make something of himself but it doesn't look promising.

I can't believe Kam & Bonner got FBS offers. Kam is lazy & doesn't care about anything. But....it's pretty obvious he wants a relationship with his mom. I hope he can make that happen.

Bonner can bareley speak English. Likeable kid but he was struggling with basic English when his teacher was trying to explain basic nouns & verbs.

I like the Dakota Allen kid. I hope he was sincere and move past his mistake at Texas Tech. Sounds like TT is giving him Matthew shot,

Stephens struggles to be better but I can feel his frustration dealing with a bunch of undisciplined knuckleheads. Not bad kids....but seemingly no direction outside of football & most seem to have put all their eggs in that football basket.

Stumbled across this series this past weekend. I have three episodes under the belt thus far.

Quite possibly the most depressing television I have ever watched... and equally fascinating.

Should they be denied a chance to cash a pay check because they are largely/entirely uneducated? I just don't believe any D1 school offering is in their best interest to further their career academically.

But, should they be denied a chance at a football career? I honestly don't know the answer and would love to hear opinions.

Amazing show. I find it amazing how the school system has failed these kids. I also find myself rooting for the coach to lose but for the players to win. Then when they interview the school president, he acts like its all about football. Come on man you're failing the kids by not giving them an education or a role model of a coach.

With that said, one of Netflix best documentaries.

I think it is the parents who failed the kids and their community. The teachers can only do so much. They don't even give their academic advisor enough respect to take their headphones out while speaking to her.

Definitely feel that it's the parents more than anything. The sad thing is a lot of these kids come from dysfunctional homes. Homes where the parents were young and naive when the kids were conceived. Homes where there isn't a dad to help raise the kid. Homes where the Dad is in and out of prison, or didn't set an example for the kid. Homes where the parents didn't have education themselves, and don't truly understand the importance of it.

By the time these kids are in college, or even elementary school, they've developed habits that are just tough to break. I don't want to go into a huge spiel about this, but the idea of "family", and the destruction of a two parent household/easy divorce/child support instead of being there for the kid, has changed so much from what it was, and I think that is having a huge impact on the kids of today and tomorrow.

I agree to an extent. Let me clarify the school system has failed them by passing them just cause either they're a great athlete or because they're a problem.

I have no idea nor do I have any inside info that would make me "legitimate". I cannot help but thinking Bryant while watching the series. What a great young man and what a shame that became his end. There is a problem but I have no idea as to the solution. RIP Greg.

New Uniforms for New 'Last Chance U' Team, the Independence Community College Pirates - HERO Sports

Though Last Chance U won't be the same without East Mississippi Community College and the bizarrely intoxicating happenings in Scooba, Miss., a chance to see the inner workings of another JUCO program should be interesting.

Season three of the Netflix original series is heading to Independence Community College (ICC) in Independence, Kan., an equally small and secluded town in southeastern Kansas

Let's be honest. They weren't looking for some JUCO in the middle of nowhere. They were looking for a hot academic advisor.
