Probably should have learned that Alex kid’s name from the first episode....
Jeff Simms at Garden City really comes across as a psychopath but DII Missouri Southern hired him.
College athletics summed up on one post. That guy is a complete douche nozzle. He also had a player die on his watch.

Jay Jones seems like a nice kid, but did he really sign with Georgia Tech not understanding the kind of offense they ran wasn't going to allow him to throw the ball much?

he cant throw the ball anyways
This really stood out to me... but he did mention that his recruitment basically disappeared for a year because he went off the radar while his dad was recovering from that bad accident.
Makes me think that there is a chance that GT used the short recruitment period to sell him a bill of goods on what he could do in their offense just to get his commitment, and he legitimately didn't know about the QB's role in their triple option.
It's more likely that the short recruiting period made him jump on his biggest commitable offer, regardless of fit, though.
I've always believed that adults are the bigger part of the problem when it comes to college football. Last Chance U does a nice job of validating that for me on several levels. I don't know that I'd hire guys like Jason Brown or Jeff Sims to work cleaning out cages in a zoo let alone put them in charge of a college football program. On that note, you couldn't pay me enough to coach at the JUCO level.
After watching Last Chance U, I really wonder whether all JUCO coaches have some kind of problem. Everyone thought Buddy Stephens was crazy but, after seeing Brown and Simms it seems to be more of a trend than a one off.
What was most stricking about seeing Garden City was how seemingly disciplined they were compared to either Indy or EMCC. Obviously, we are only seeing a tiny fraction of their season but it seems that Simms has a lot more control over the kids than either of the other schools. Not defending him (he clearly has some issues), I just thought it was surprising.
Just watched the bonus episode with catches up with the lives of former players and teachers and its actually may more interesting than Season 4 itself
Where's that at? I can't find it. The only "where are they now?" I found was from EMCC.
i haven't watched the new series...PLEASE NO SPOILERS but is it any good????
It’s different. I think it’s a better look at what JUCO facilities really look like. You realize how good EMCC and even Independence had it. Still enjoyed it though.
are there any fbs players who transfered and went juco route on there?
