Desan is the son. Deland McCullough is the IU RB coach. That would be a great hire, actually.

I've moved on from Alford. He should be getting better opportunities but is stuck in the Eric Bienemy Hair Club for Coaches. I don't know ND is going to be able to lure Seider away, but he'd be a fantastic asset if they could.

Knox would be a steady hand in the room with Hiestand. Experienced guy and a good man as far as anyone can tell.

Is mentioning Eric Bienemy almost on a daily basis some sort of daily game you play haha?

I would put Florida's YPC being high moreso on their OL and having a dual threat QB. For other RB coach names, how about John Settle of Kentucky? Coached and recruited Jonathan Taylor at Wisconsin, and Kentucky's RBs played pretty well....

So you're saying Knox works well with good OL coaching and dual threat QB's? Move over Alford, 4life just convinced me Knox is the guy.

Settle would be a home run hire too and is at the top of most lists I've seen around the web this weekend.

TBH... I'm not worried who the coaches are. I'll rubber stamp anything Freeman sends our way until he Charlie's out. I know he can recruit and that's what I'm here for. When the Jimmy & Joe level reaches critical mass, I'll get persnickety about the other stuff.

Hey guys, what about (insert ND alum name here)? He doesn't have much coaching experience, but has experience at ND and (insert NFL team here). Not sure what he's up to lately.

What an off-season already… too many changes! Looks like it is time to take a break from the board so my nerves can relax a bit!

I thought Taylor would give ND a chance to pay him more.

Does ND really have a shot with Alford?

Too many coaching changes within the ND program has me questioning what is going on?

He took a big promotion. It’s not just money. He would be waiting a long time for a shot at OC at ND.

Bama replaces virtually the whole staff every couple years because guys leave for promotions.

If position coaches/GAs/analysts aren’t leaving for other jobs, it isn’t a good thing.

haha reeeeelaaaax ….. when you have good coaches/good recruiters, they get poached. They deserve better opportunities ! It happens to the best of schools.

shitty timing seeing we have a first time coach, but it’s flattering if anything. Look at it as a chance to bring In Fresh studdssss to bring even more energy into this place

LFG !!

He has never been an offensive coordinator before and was made an offer to do so at a Power Five school. How much more could they pay him to stay and not advance his career? He knows the risks that he could fail or the head coach could get fired, but that's part of the business.

There's nothing going on. This is football at the collegiate and pro levels. Coaches leave. They get replaced. You don't need to question anything. Lance Taylor got an opportunity and he took it.

Not to mention, this is a good look for ND.

I think he’s making a mistake here. I think going somewhere like Duke for example would have been better. Don’t see Satterfield making it another 2 years, if not one more.

Good move IMO. Even if Satterfield doesn’t last he has the title and experience for the next interview.

I would run through a mother fuckin' brick wall for Coach Bettis. No italics.
I've still got my Bus jersey.

This.

Position coaches getting promotions is good. This isn't Chip Long going to G5 school, or BVG coaching a HS.

Assistant coaches leaving is never a good look. Bite your tongue.

This profession is 30 years and a gold watch. To see all this moving around is great cause for concern and not a good look for the program.

Wow, quite the jump for him the last two seasons. Good for him. Satterfield wanted to bring him to Cincinnati.

On another note, Taylor was a main recruiter for several guys that are still on NDs roster. It would be interesting to see if any of our transfer decide to follow him there at some point.

Why on Earth would you do this? Saying this out loud is going to cause nothing but panic.

The gallons of urine from pants wetting is on YOUR hands. Or feet I suppose.
