Chew two leaves, burn a doober and pour yourself two fingers of bourbon.

No more pain... until the morning at least...

I have some pretty serious upper back/scapula pain. I'm afraid of pain meds (addiction) so I just stick to ibuprofen, aleve, etc... Doesn't do crap for me anymore, So, I just dealt with it. i'm 'in' the strength industry So, some connections turned me on to it via Chris Bell, who is a huge supporter of it. So, I took it, plus rubbed some Ho wood on the painful area. It f'ing worked. I'm not into that stuff, well, I wasn't, but it worked when ' medicine' did not.

So, it helped me. I was a skeptic so its not the placebo affect.

I got some capsules so I didn't have to 'make' anything. Milkshakes, paste, etc seem to be the norm.

to add... I only took it for the pain, but I did notice a bump in my over all mood, now, could be because I didn't want to kill myself because my back was hurting, but, just a side note.

Throw in Kava, Blue Lotus & Passion Flower too as anti-anxiety / pain relief remedies.. Just watch what you buy and who you buy it from. Also, some of products are illegal in certain states. For example, Indiana made Kratom illegal back in 2011 or '12.

There is a ton of literature in terms of how this is used holistically, but there is a great deal of negative info as well. Some articles even make it out to be like dope. I personally would love to use something for pain issues that was of a more natural variety. Opiates are like crack to me and I won't use them. What is your best description on what this does? I want pain relief not a feeling of being high.

Thanks

I didn't get a high feeling, I used a Indo strain.

Where is your pain?

If its a muscular issue, Get some Ho-wood and Manuka. Stuff works man, and, like i said previously, holistic medicine is not my thing, but i'm a believer now.

That's what you get for living in the middle of the state, silly.

Even if I lived near a state line, I would never buy my beer in another state and give that excise tax to some other governor.:alcohol:

Not yet, but it's coming.

I'm not sure it is. Liquor stores love selling the same amount due to a HEAVY Friday/Saturday rush and not having to pay anyone to work on Sundays.

I don't know what people other than them don't want Blue Laws gone for good.

I lived in MN for 36 years. It took a good bit of initial adjusting. Moving from Miami (La Vida Loca) to Minneapolis (MN Nice) was a bit of a jolt. There was a 24 hour liquor store on my way home from work

In Miami 10 PM was a light weight early start for a night out. In Minneapolis the bars closed at midnight. The local convenience stores only sold 3.2 (shudder!) beer – and never on a Sunday. Grocery stores could not (and still cannot) sell beer or wine. The liquor stores closed at 9 PM.

I suppose that I could take some comfort in knowing that I learned (finally) to plan ahead. I never once drove the 40 miles to Wisconsin on a Sunday to grab a case of PBR.

As Beau pointed out, it's the store owners and their lobby that opposed Sunday sales. I have mixed feelings on that. I see value in closing down shop completely at least one day a week. Employers save a keg of money on operating expenses and employees can count on making plans for at least one specific day.

Though I now live in FL agin, I keep in touch with MN.

A bill to allow Sunday alcohol sales has passed in the State House – not sure about the Senate or how the Governor views the whole matter, vis-a-vis veto.

The lobby still wields a great deal of power so the possibility of beer and wine sales at the local grocery store, Target or Walmart is still, quite probably, going to be a long slog in snowshoes on a 40 degree day.

Oh, and back to the topic du jour, du thread.

I had to resort to Google.

Now that I'm an aged Hippie it's tough for these old bones to keep up with you kids.

Where do I go to get this miracle pain relief shit ... with a possible hallucinogen stash on the side?

Mainly in the hips and low back. Muscular issues are a common theme for anyone over 35 I suppose. I will certainly look into the manuka and Ho-wood.

You know that's kind've funny cause I used to call my manhood Ho-wood in college. Interesting!!!
