Honestly, if Love can't be 95% for this game or whatever the hell he was for Indiana, I hope the coaches let him continue to rest. I don't want to see him exacerbate it. Challenge Price and Williams and the rest of the RBs to rise to the occasion. If we can find a way to win this game while giving Love rest, it could be one thing that bolsters our chances of seeing this thing through.

But Penn State still scares me, this isn't a dismissal, etc.

Man, I think this game is a coin flip but feels like you have to sit him or use in emergency situations. I've never seen a team fucked by injuries like this title contending one.

That looked bad to me. No where close to what he looked like leading into IU.

Fucking USC…

Realizing Love is hurt, his working with a brace and 2nd team may all be precautionary. At this point in the year, rest is more important than reps and we know the brace is a precaution.

I think we use him or don't use him. Bringing him in emergency situations, other team isn't going to be scratching their head wondering why he is in all of a sudden.

In years past injuries affected all teams but stockpiling talent got you through them. Teams without depth have always struggled long term against teams with depth.
This. Lots of 4/5 star players means you have talent to plug in for injuries. I think it's the only consistent benefit of signing lots of 5 stars. A team can handle a player going down/not being good.

Forgive me if this is a dumb question as I’ve never played football. How much difference might it make for the game to be played on a grass field when we play on turf and PSU plays on grass?

Should be a fast track nonetheless. As long as it doesn't rain. TBH as a player I preferred grass

Had a thought pop into my head earlier today.

Logan Diggs.

Too many of these dudes leave to the portal hastily.

Meh. What's past is past. It bothered me briefly and then I forgot about it.

Enjoyed his time and play here but look at us since then. Love wouldn’t have gotten the experience last year that helped him be such a force this year.

Interesting… has anyone specified what exactly his arm injury is?

Random q for those going/with knowledge of Hard Rock Stadium - is there decent tailgating in the yellow lots? Ended up snagging one of those parking passes - but wondering if it would be worth it to upgrade to the orange lots via stubhub. Definitely way more $, but the tailgating in 2012 was epic so if getting into orange is the way to recreate that, I think it would be worth it!

If anyone is on campus and would be willing to light a candle at the grotto for a good friends father I'd appreciate it. He was perfectly fine 6weeks ago, but has been diagnosed with brain cancer and needs a miracle. The sick gentlemans name is Larry.

This is something we all thought, but it is refreshing to hear from a national/sec slanted host. Cole cubelic thinks Denbrock downshifted both games and went completely vanilla.

Edit: I put this in the PSU thread because I think things are being held back in the playbook that will come out if/when we need them.

I wouldn’t know. We went to Tootsies down the street and stayed there until kickoff in 2012.

No regrets.

Would brother but unfortunately I’m on call again. Joys of fellow life.

Any good poker player holds their cards close to the vest until they need to play them……college coaches are no different, the smart ones.

Please, for the love of Our Lady Queen of Victory, run an RB angle, RB wheel route, or tight end delay leak.

Guaranteed explosive play and/or touchdown with how defenses play us.

Look how wide open GA’s RB was on their lone touchdown and now imagine Love or Price doing it…

Calls ND the best coached defense they'll play. Loves Watts, rightfully so

He's unfortunately been a bit injured since leaving, hasn't gotten a lot of opportunities since. He did look pretty good in the few touches he got in their bowl game despite being rusty. He was a great leader, really helped picked Estime up after his fumble woes and pushed him to reach his potential. That kind of presence is always welcome.

One thing about Penn State is I don’t know a single fan. I live I east Tennessee so it’s dominated with Vol fans and fans of other SEC schools. There are also many Michigan, Ohio State, and Notre Dame fans. Plus random fans of other schools but I can’t think of ever running into a Penn State fan. Do people in Pennsylvania never leave?

Interesting take from a PSU fan...He broke down the overall recruiting rankings for each team....
"If you look at the starting player rankings, PSU is higher in 14 out of 22 positions. I would say PSU has more star power also. Better QB, LBs, TE, RB's (if Love is out). WR's equal, offensive line equal, PSU better Dline, ND better secondary and special teams. Overall edge to PSU."

This is similar to the Georgia game except Penn St. can actually run the ball and their QB has experience. This is going to be much tougher than some people think and can see the game going either way. The injuries and depth worry me more for this game than they did Georgia.
