Our schedule is a joke. We only play 2 teams that had quality seasons in 2012 (LSU, A&M), but let's not act like ND's schedule is murder's row. Far, far from it. Oklahoma, Stanford and Michigan are the only teams that ND will play in 2013 that were quality teams in 2012. ATM and LSU are better than any 2 teams ND will play in 2013. But, the beauty of CFB is that anything can happen and there are always teams that are a surprise and have a good season, or rebound off of a bad season and achieve success. Ole Miss certainly has that capability on Bama's schedule, ditto with Michigan State on ND's schedule.

That's sometimes true, but not always. Stanford finished ahead of LSU according to Sagarin last season. And even when it is true, the bottom half of ND's schedule is always much more challenging than 'Bama's.

'Bama's 2013 schedule:
  • VT - 54
  • aTm - 3
  • Colorado State - 134
  • Ole Miss - 24
  • Georgia State - 224
  • Kentucky - 93
  • Arkansas - 65
  • Tennessee - 56
  • LSU - 10
  • Mississippi State - 42
  • Chattanooga - 122
Average Opponent Rank - 69

ND's 2013 schedule:
  • Temple - 100
  • Michigan - 20
  • Purdue - 71
  • Michigan State - 34
  • Oklahoma - 12
  • Arizona State - 28
  • USC - 33
  • AF - 130
  • Navy - 82
  • Pitt - 59
  • BYU - 26
  • Stanford - 9
Average Opponent Rank - 50

My only question after reading this is when are the moderators going to lock this thread?

Left with 10 seconds left and told my parents I'd meet them at the car. Basically sprinted out of that place. Couldn't bare to see confetti and all the Bama fans (we were in a Bama section) celebrate around us.

The only reason I didn't turn it off after the first quarter was that I was there. And the only reason I didn't leave at halftime was that I blew $1100 on tickets.

Several moments throughout this game I thought id turn it off .. But I watched till the bitter end... And even the celebration... Whether it was a car wreck that I couldn't look away from .. Or some sense of loyalty I owed to the 2012 squad after the season they gave us...

I like to think the latter.

This. There was no way we were leaving that stadium until every player received the proper salute they rightfully earned after a great season.

* There was a pretty rousing "MANTI TEO (clap,clap....clap,clap,clap)" with about 5 minutes left that was awesome.

I left the stadium with about 6 min to go. My walk back to the car wasn't so bad since I knew we lost for about 2 hours. Side note, I thought the Bama fans that I came across were pretty cool.

They were cordial, the only thing that irked me was they had absolutely no doubt in their mind all weekend they were going to win, and win big. The ones I talked to were polite about it, not delusional, but the common theme was "you guys have a good team, but you haven't seen anything like this before, trust me."

Now I agree with them.

Yep 100% agree. The fans I ran into had no doubt that's for sure. Also I picked up my tickets from a broker at a local hotel. The guy took a pic of my tickets with my drivers lic. I asked him why he did that as I've bought tickets for a long time and never had that happen and his response was "I'm sorry my friend but this game is going to end like the OKLA USC game from '05 and I don't want you trying to say you didn't buy these tickets." So in short, it looks like everyone knew but us.

I witnessed a drunk Irish fan trying to talk smack before the game, and a sober Bama fan, DEAD SERIOUS offered him 20 points and said he would honor a bet of any amount. He calmly pulled out his wallet to show he was ready to back his bold claim up. dude was probably 60 years old. Didnt hang around to see what the amount was, but the tone of his voice scared me from trying to place one myself.

He probably seemed that way, but that was just the Crown Royal and meth cancelling each other out.
