I know some

Same. I’m recording it and will be putting the phone on Airplane mode / avoiding the internet. I’ll watch it this evening. I hope that piece of shit is burning in perpetuity.

ETA: Oh, and Go Irish!
I guess that’s what I’ll do as well. I’m surprised they didn’t go for a prime time start. If it’s to accommodate the players, then I’m all for it. If it’s to accommodate the NFL…screw them.

New Orleans has obviously been a real somber vibe and I do think it's going to bode well for ND. I can definitely see an empty stadium and a real lack of energy. A UGA fan gave me two tickets in a slightly better section than I had. Going from the 300's on the 50 to the 200's on the 40. We shall see, but I'm ready to get home too, not much to do here except sit in the casino which has been crazy packed.
I hate that the game atmosphere will be watered down a good bit due to the attack and many fans being forced to leave.

Get Uptown or in the Garden District. Go walk up and down Magazine Street and grab something to eat and drink (The Bulldog is one of my personal favorites - good beer bar).

What makes you think it won’t bode well for ND? Isn’t UGA in the same boat? Or are you having doubts unrelated to the terrorist attack before ND plays in a big game?

Cancelled our flight and changed rental car reservation so now I have a 850 mile drive to look forward to. Breeze Airways is providing credit for the full purchase price - unfortunately could not accommodate changing flights. Changing to 3pm makes a huge difference as we can get a few hours down the road after the game. Costing two days of work and probably $600 in rental car, gas and additional hotel night that will be BFE rates instead of NYE in Nola. I feel somewhat compelled to make it work out of defiance to the radicalized muslim douchebag.

I get moving the game due to demand on local resources on day of but the show must go on. To fold tents and close shop completely is letting the douches win.

I think out of respect for the tragedy, that game should be postponed

Breeze airways is fantastic for what it is. Their customer service and overall service is heads and shoulders better than the other budget airlines. I was able to get a round trip flight from FL to VA for $100 through them.

You amateurs with your basketball games and what not. Priorities fellas, priorities.

Last night
Wife 4:00 kickoff. That means you'll be home early?
Me: Yep
Wife: So you leaving work around 3:30?
Me: Hell no, I'm leaving at 3:00.
Wife: It's only a 10 minute drive to work.
Me: I'm not taking any chances on traffic or an accident.
Wife: I guess that means you'll want to change the channel as soon as you get home.
Me: Change it before I get home so I don't have to hunt for the remote. I'll have to walk the dog so I need to get that out of the way as well..

Wait I was reliably told that low ticket prices make for a better gameday atmosphere because poor people are more boisterous fans or some such thing. In fact I was told that repeatedly leading up to the December 20 home game.

Any idea from folks on the ground on the % breakdown of fans leaving town early?

My gut is saying it might be more impactful for ND fans since a larger % of Georgia fans might have, in theory, been able to drive and not fly.
