I’ll gladly eat my crow for my posts from earlier in the game. What a great win. I was jumping and screaming like a little girl when Boykin made that play!

Got stressed out with 6 minutes left and decided to take down the hammock I was watching the game in and come inside. Turned the game back on to see the celebration. I might have missed the best part but I survived!

That Miami loss was maybe the ugliest loss on a big stage to an overrated team in the Kelly era. Half of that debacle falls on Wimbush who was worse than awful. Just couldn’t hit water if he fell out of a boat that day. QB competition this year which should bring the best out of our guys, BW had it handed to him on a silver platter and don’t think that served him well in the end.

I agree I will eat my crow no way did I think we would pull it out.

I will still question the use of Dexter Williams?

I really liked how the offense changed when Book went in. Suddenly they went under center with some power runs and nice toss sweeps. The play book might’ve been limited since almost every pass play was a play action roll out.

I really believe Kelly has to evolve the offense away from the horizontal running for the team to take the next step.

Well we now know the best way to end a season that ends in (regular season) disappoint is to play LSU in a bowl game.
Also ND beats teams from the AAC, the ACC, the MAC, the B1G, the PAC-12, and now the SEC. 6 different conferences.

What a great season and great turnaround from last year.

Josh Adams finished 8 yds short of the ND single season rush record

I would have been a thousand dollars that he had it in the back 3/4 of the way through the season. It blows my mind how the offensive production just evaporated.

Me too!

As far as Dexter, it appeared pretty obvious to me. The kid has to learn to pass protect. After runs of 5 & 30 yds, he got beat on a rush that led to the intentional grounding call. He was promptly pulled.

nice way to end the season, start the New Year, and look forward to finishing off a pretty good recruiting year and going into offseason activities.
Hope Coney & Tillery decide to return, D needs them.

This team is no longer physically outmatched by the SEC. They went toe to toe physically with LSU and Georgia this year. I thought ND was going to get their arses whooped today. Im glad I was wrong.

Love seems to break uo.every pass attempt in his direction.

Best part of the win: my priest is watching the game with me and called ND scoring a touchdown to win it.

Agreed. Not sure if it was lack of running room or not but Adams only looked good on his runs after the pass. Gotta assume LSU was overloading the box.

Has a running back ever so completely disappeared after putting up such monster stats the first 8ish games?

Coney & Tillery balled out. Gotta think they will declare and be fine with a 3-5 round grade.

He looked better in the second half. He almost broke one on a 10yd gain. He looked food after the catch, too.

Has anyone done the calculation to see if ND reclaimed the lead in all-time winning %, with the Meatchicken loss?

after teams figured out BW couldn't throw, it was pretty easy to stop the run. i have a feeling if we'd had Book starting the last half of the season, our running game would have kept churning....
