Rivers fell off the cliff last season. I was holding out hope for Bridgewater in the off-season.

To lazy right now to look it up - when was the last time the Colts won a season opener? Seems like forever ago...

I just don’t get it. Rivers is old and just not very good anymore. They have a very talented OL and RB who was avg 4.75yds/carry and they give him the ball 12 times to 31 passes for Rivers, in a competitive game. Rivers throws two more picks and has a 7 yds/att on the day.

I’m all in on Taylor and I just SMDH.

I didn’t get to see the game just paying attention on my phone as I have Taylor in two Fanball leagues. Did he take a bad safety?

The River's INTs are horribly bad, but aside from those, playing well. Our OL has taken a huge step back. Many more pressures this year, and everyone's PFF has dropped significantly except for our supposed weak link (Glow). Also without starting LT. We lost our starting RB (Mack), and the rook (Taylor) is timid and needs time. He's running like Mack did his first year, and lacks timing running zone scheme. Add in the fact our D was horrible, giving up 20 pts in the first half (and it looked worse than that). Browns have a top 5 OL (better than Colts), and top 5 rush D. Browns went more conservative on O second half which made our D look better than it was.

Didn’t see it but listened to the game. Sounds like the defense didn’t arrive until the second half.

I’ve never seen a worse drive to try to close out a game than what I watched. Holy shit.

Crazy game. Refs tried to take things over.
Our OL has issues... performance drop off and all those penalties almost cost us the game.
Rivers has really played the last 5 games.
Taylor looked great.
D sucked the 1st half. So soft. AR had all the time in the world most of the game.

All of the holds seemed legit, but there’s also probably 30 holds every game that don’t get called. Just an incredibly sloppy last drive of regulation. Thank God for Blackmon stripping the ball in OT. What a steal he’s turned out to be.

Yeah, holds were all legit.
Pittmans was bad bad. Have to call
Nelsons? Those are the ones you can call almost any play.

Weird clock management by Frank too, could have used a couple more runs to exhaust Packers final time and run 30 more seconds off the clock.

Wins a win lol

You can make claims on the holds and all, but at a certain point the refs have to realize it's getting ridiculous. Some of those you see get let go all the time. If it's not a part of the play, let it go. These guys are trying to play a game, and you are not letting them.

Doesn't matter who you were rooting for during the game. It felt like there were three teams out there: the Colts, the Packers, and the refs.

I thought the holds were legitimate as well, even though I'm bias, but would agree it got excessive. Some of them were behind the play where the defender was unlikely to get to the ball carrier unabated.

To put it simply, I've never been more frustrated with a half of football than what I witnessed from my Pack yesterday. The Colts deserved that W, plain and simple. Made great adjustments offensively defensively and the Packers had no answer. 6 plays of offense in the third quarter. Like, how?

Rivers looking like a dangerous weapon down the stretch...he has really turned things around this past month.

What are the Colts going to do at QB? I feel like they’re on the cusp and would be a shame to miss the window.

Watson want to come for a chance at a ring?

Draft and/or Eason?

DM Andrew Luck’s GF asking permission to speak?

Wentz or one of those other garbage QBs in the league looking for a new start?

Matt f’n Stafford. They have to make this happen. We don’t have the pieces to trade for Watson nor would the Texans trade him to the Colts.

Stafford or Wentz and they'll be ready to go.

I wasn't a fan of Wentz coming into the league, but he's been good 4 of 5 years and he did his best work with Frank Reich.

Stafford is a dude and anyone who has watched him play much knows that.

Watson would be awesome but the Texans wouldn’t trade him in division, they would be stupid to.

Wentz is a headcase, no thanks.

Don’t want rivers back.

Stafford is probably fine, but I just don’t think half measures are what the Colts need. Need to find the guy of the future and go.

I think you use the draft and let the chip fall with Eason or whatever talent you can draft.

Stafford is a perennial underachiever. His stats aren’t even that great: Low 60% completion percentage, 2:1 TD/int ratio. Good for the early 2000s but average to mediocre now. He’s basically Rivers with better arm strength.

I’d take wentz over him if I were the Colts. Wentz at least has shown flashes of brilliance. I say this as an eagles fan who wants to keep him moving forward. Before this year wentz was playing with an elite Oline, this year he was sacked 50 times before he got benched in week 12. The colts have an elite line, rivers was sacked only 19 times. Wentz would flourish behind them, not to mention their great run blocking as well.

How about Mitch Trubisky? I think he’d do better outside of Chicago.

No thanks, but I would consider Stafford. He’s rarely had a good D to go along with some of the offensive talent.

Yeah, I’m not big on Mitch either. That’s who Dakich was saying the Colts should go after.

Official today. I wish Rivers the best of luck. He seems perfectly fit for HS football coaching. 9 kids too, his wife deserves some sort of award.

The same question remains open ended, and these options remain garbage. Stafford, huh??? Hesitant but outside of that, there are really no other choices besides Wentz.
