I feel like the job market right now is in a really weird place because of AI. When I got hired at my current company I felt a bit lucky, I initially felt underqualified but they were growing fast and I squeaked in. Fortunately I caught on quick and learned what needed to be done. Now I'm helping interview new candidates and not surprisingly they're mostly candidates from India that have work permits for Canada. That said, my company is actually hosting working meetings for employees to learn how to use AI for various tasks, I assume to make us more efficient and reduce the need to hire even more people. Got to adapt I guess or get replaced.

I am hearing the head of the school board worked closely for Michele Obama and was on track to run for a state senate seat. AWFL who probably insisted on finding a DEI candidate for the spot. Leaned heavily on some outside consultant for the search. $300k+ salary plus benefits. What a complete shitshow yet tons of libs defending this guy.

It's a case study in everything AWFL. The board is 100% AWFL and she is running for Senate. This had to have hurt.

When I started coaching lacrosse after college it was at the public high school that I attended as a teenager. The extent of background checking I had to do to be a volunteer coach was borderline comical... background checks, fingerprinting, references, vaccinations, medical screening, etc.

The idea that a dude with a partially faked resume, no work authorization in the United States, a standing deportation order from 1.5 years ago, and gun charges from 5 years ago not only got a public sector job but was given a *license* by a state licensure board to be a school administrator is actually insane. I just literally do not know how that happens and it's an incredible scandal on employment verification / background checking more than anything.

I joke that before long, the only people who are going to be able to access our accounts are scammers who will be able to pass verification. Fraudsters are great at paperwork.

Since being "illegal" is not evident in any way, the vice president is just saying that people should be mad at Latinos at the ER. I also think, very controversial among conservatives, that "illegal" immigrants don't deserve to die outside of the hospital.

It's all propaganda. Everyone, down to illegal immigrants - since Reagan signed the 1986 bill to do so - is entitled to emergency room service for urgent care. And the states get reimbursed monies to help pay the costs for this, but it's not immigrants getting free medicaid or health coverage, but MAGA nation needs to spin the narrative so the Okie from Muskokie with hardly any teeth can say, "Yeah, we don't want immigrants freeloading off of our healthcare and govt. Give 'em hell MAGA!"

Biden let in millions of people from around the globe, so many that we don't know how many. Also included are Asians, Europeans, Africans, etc. The Biden/Dem border approach has been so disastrous and incompetent that it has evolved beyond just migrant farm worker latinos, so your defense lies need to evolve with the failures of your preferred politicians. So when I go to the DMV and people are filling the place and don't speak English, its a reasonable conclusion- Hispanic or otherwise. When 22 Guatamalans show up one day to my kids school to enroll, its not assumed they are just Hispanic.

When you have a President fail on the scale that Biden did, it will require cleanup. When ICE finds violent criminals and gang members concentrated, I want them fished out and deported. It's why I voted for a President who ended the retarded open border scheme and crack down on crime. This is the winner of our election delivering on his promises. Your pro crime, pro-illegal; pro-open border team lost. Sorry for the inconvenience and grief that raids to correct your failures has caused you.

Not sure what you're ranting about? We're talking about that immigrants are entitled to emergency services as all U.S. residents are, end of story.
If you want to look at immigrants as somehow a bigger user of emergency services, show me some stats (I'm no expert on that), but I'm going to assume that hard-working immigrants are trying to avoid going to the hospital as that's human nature (we hate letting ourselves be vulnerable at the hospital) and I'm sure they're trying to avoid any public place where you have to hand over info as that could lead to deportation, esp. right now.

Criminals are probably overrepresented in hospital emergency rooms as gang members and robbers get shot and end up in the ER.

And the other problem is that ICE is not just cracking down on hard core criminal immigrants (hardly at all) as we all know at this point, so that doesn't help the ER problem either.
