Apology accepted. It happens to every single one of us, at one time or another.

I would also encourage you not to avoid sociological/political threads. Having strong beliefs is a good quality, but you have to learn to allow others (whose beliefs may be different) to be strong in their beliefs, as well. I think that the contention that blacks are not well represented in city government in Ferguson is no excuse for anything, because that government is elected by the people of Ferguson. I would feel the same way, no matter what race was complaining. That doesn't make me a racist.

I have found that to be a good idea. I am also very passionate about my views (key in BobD) and hanging around in the political threads just drove me crazy. I would debate and debate. It would make clear sense to me and several people reading but not being able to convince the one person I was debating irritated the crap out of me. I have stayed out of them myself for a long time and it is for the better. This site is better a Notre Dame forum than political one. grin:
